Maroon Fusion Cuisine — Restaurant in George Town

A newly open restaurant serving fusion cuisine and most importantly Muslim friendly too. Decided to check this place out with my colleagues yesterday.

Place is a bit small and most of the tables are catered for a group of 5 to 6 pax at best. So if you plan to come in a big group like 10 pax or so then you need to split up.

Ordering process is super easy with QR code and personally for my order it was served pretty fast. I guess for those best seller item, the already prepared the food upfront. I ordered Nasi Kandar set. Price is on the higher side and you can probably get cheaper if you go to buy from Nasi Kandar shop but you are paying for overall ambience and I feel the price is acceptable since overall the place is quite cosy.

Nasi Kandar itself the taste is good and I like the Nasi tomato and the curry gravy served. The accompany chicken Ayam Masak Merah is tender and juicy so I love it too.

Teh tarik ais is not too sweet and again, thumbs up from me.

Just that my colleagues ordered other food which is not best seller and the comment that it was okay and not that good, considering the price too.

Definitely worth a visit and I guess from our experience, I would recommend you to try the best...

the only good thing to say is food is quite decent but pricey for the type of food served. service is sub-par. during order, the waitress did not confirm orders and one meal did not come out. logically, one would see there are 4 persons, and 3 meals ordered would have raised a question but logic is not her strong point. she denied any accountability of it, of course. supervisor also idiot who did not attempt to rectify it. the training is weak, resulting in sub-standard workers. definitely last time to...

We recently had our team-building lunch at Maroon Fusion Cuisine and was thoroughly impressed. The service was outstanding—staff were attentive and friendly.
