I have read mixed reviews about Mady Char Koey Teow and decided to give it a try myself. Took my family there this evening because we are are staying at the Resort nearby.
We arrived just before 825pm and immediately pakcik minuman (uncle that sell drinks) came to take our drinks order. 830pm the waitress finally came to take our main order. Our orders finally delivered to our table half an hour later at almost 9pm.
The minute after our drinks arrived only we noticed that the table was not level. It was tilted to one side because this outlet is actually located on the roadside pavement. True enough one of my children spilled her drink because of the unevenness of the table.
Whilst waiting for our orders to arrive we had to endure a strong smell that came from longkang (drains) just next to it.
Penang has so many places that serve excellent char koay teow (Malay style) and Mady Char Koy Teow is definitely not one of them!
This was a really major let down. What a waste of evening dinner outing with family. So will I recommend this place to my friends? HELL, NO!
