To the Sigi's Bar and Grill Management, First of all, I would like to compliment your idea of a romantic dinner, the one which sets out by the beach with beautiful curtain and lights. It was the idea which I really wanted to bring it to reality to celebrate my girlfriend's 26th birthday, my first birthday celebration with her. So I booked a romantic dinner package with Sigi's last night for a total bill of RM622. However, I was so disappointed when it started to rain last night. The manager on duty that time, Leona, shifted us to a dark private room with cool decorations and two color-changing LED lamps. Which was totally fine but not something I would pay RM622 for. Perhaps Sigi's need to come out with a better Plan B. The private room was quite noisy actually, with the people chit-chatting loudly outside. The food was not bad, except my lamb rack was super hard. I asked for a medium done meat but it felt like it was overly done. The room was dark so I couldn't see the color of the meat. Normally I would say something about it but it was my girlfriend's big day so I decided not to make a commotion. After our main courses, we patiently waited for our desserts, our chocolate and mango tarts. But we were served with chocolate tart and cheesecake instead. Your staff politely apologized that the mango tart just ran out but seriously, why put on the menu when you guys did not have the stock for it? Why didn't you keep it for us at the time when we ORDERED it? It only got me thinking, maybe you guys took our desserts from your RM69/pax Mediterranean Buffet dish plates outside. Never mind the above, thinking it could not get worse and we could just pay our bill and leave the place at 11pm. To my dismay, we were held back until almost 12am due to your "technical fault" and it totally destroyed our after-dinner plans. Here is the story: I paid RM200 deposit to make sure my date was booked with Sigi's. But my girlfriend insisted to foot the bill when I went to the toilet last night. It wasn't anybody's fault why this happened. HOWEVER, my girlfriend was charged full amount of RM622 instead of RM422. When I found out, I could not let this happen because I already paid RM200 deposit. So I requested the cashier to void the sales so we could pay only RM422. This was when the disaster happened - Cashier voided the bill when there was NO PAPER in the credit card machine so the voiding was not captured, but cashier thought the bill was already voided. Then she did the "settlement" which cleared out all recent sales, which means there was no chance of voiding the bill anymore as per my understanding. It was 11.20pm already. Frustrated, we demanded our RM200 back in cash but was TURNED DOWN. The night duty manager came to try to sort things out, and insisted that they will settle this tomorrow morning. We called our credit card tollfree numbers and were told that only the Merchant (Sigi's) could reverse the sales. We were very sure that there was no way Sigi's could return our RM200 without our presence at the cashier, which means we have to come back the next day. Then night duty manager called the Merchant helpline and was advised that after "Settlements" are done from the credit card machine, no VOIDING could be done anymore. Only after that, he was convinced to return our RM200 in cash. This whole situation took another 30 minutes. Finally, we left at 11.50PM after getting back our RM200 in cash. Don't be mistaken, all your staff was polite and nice, but, a little lack of knowledge in handling the credit card machine, and lack of information on the merchant system, caused us to be held back for 1 hour. It was NO ROMANTIC DINNER at all. My girlfriend left the place with an angry feeling. I was, needless to say, very disappointed with the whole experience. My recommendations to friends, RM622 for...
Read moreGreat place excelling in top Shangri-la hospitality. Pizza is crispy, cheesy and filled generously. Although there is no seafood pizza on the new menu, Lady Valltelina (Beef & Arugula RM42) and Godfather (Beef pepperoni & Chicken Sausage RM44) will not disappoint. Server Ms.Ni Ni is commendable for her outstanding hospitality, bending over backwards to cater for our boy's needs .... persuading Chef Lee to make a customised pizza for him, instead of buffet menu and keeping my bottle of Guinness ice cold in an ice bucket, as well as signing me up for Golden Circle (#201-005-079-390) to enjoy meal discounts and reward points. A happier experience overall compared to the reckless Hard Rock pizzeria or antagonistic Ship restaurant. When it comes to excellent hospitality, nowhere can beat my former client Robert Kuok's Shangri-la! Today's visit on New Year's Day came with a complimentary foccacia and ciabatta as starters while waiting for the Godfather and kid's menu spaghetti (RM19). This evening's excellent server was Ms.Ai Ai who packed our pizza leftovers cheerfully. Still open during MCO for takeaways. Sadly most...
Read moreMe and my boyfriend were having a walk on the beach and passed by this bar and grill, then we decided to have a drink and have some snacks then chill over there. When we sat down, the staff was quite nice and recommend us nicely. But one thing is that they called bar and grill but they are an italian restaurant instead and aint like any other bar. Although we were able to have our cocktails but they made us feel like we are some kind of weirdo which having drinks only and they like talking about us and looking at us. Another thing is that they passed us the bill even we did not call for it, it was like chasing us away where there were no customers. The drinks were normal also, not very chill over there. The atmosphere not that...
