Tian Yun Vegan Restaurant — Restaurant in George Town

Very disappointing service. It stated opens at 12PM, and we arrived early before 12 noon. When open the door, the restaurant has lots of empty seats and the person told us not able to cope cos fully booked by other customers. And they don’t even spare some seats for walk-in guests or at least told us waiting time would be probably reasonably around 15-30mins. They just directly turn us down and say can’t cope, can’t accept at such early time of the day. And the funny thing is we already saw some customers already halfway eating with their meals. Clearly the opening hours was way earlier before 12 noon. Then, pls KINDLY AMEND and UPDATE your accurate opening hours to prevent inconvenience for customers who sincerely want to try your food and came from very far. We even tried calling to book but nobody pick...

Japanese style vegetarian restaurant at Ayer Itam. Ordered Afterglow sushi and chuka wakame.

Afterglow sushi was awesome. Love their rice with vinegar. They used combination of red and white rice to make the sushi roll. Inside were vegetables such as carrot, cucumber and purple cabbage. Some splashes of mayo and garnish with white sesame. Crunchy, fresh, a little bit of salty, sweet and sour. A refreshing dish.

Chuka wakame was served in generous portion. Delicious as well. Also garnished with white sesame and some chili powder.

Cozy and air-conditioned environment. Bar seats preferred since get to see the floor crew assembling food. Cooking was done inside kitchen. Price is standard....

Food is aesthetically pleasing. But it stops there. Doesn’t taste great, nothing too special aside from serving fancy looking vegetarian food.

Service is bad. They forgot to key in an order, and when reminded of it - said we didn’t order instead and left my mother starving without food even after we reminded them of the order. Said it wasn’t their mistake when clearly others heard me mentioning the dish to order.

Only one chef cooking at the back, so if u come during meal peak hours, please expect to starve / long wait.

Prices are not value for money either. Will never come back and DON’T RECOMMEND this place for others.
