ZUS Coffee - Golden Triangle 2, Bayan Lepas — Restaurant in George Town

I came to this coffee shop for the first time, hoping to use the buy1free1 voucher. The staff informed me that I had to wait 10 minutes because their system was down. I said okay and waited patiently.

After 20 minutes passed without any updates, I followed up. Still, no one called my number or gave me any information. I asked again about my order, and they just told me to wait. I waited again, and still, nothing.

Eventually, I complained and said I had already been waiting for 30 minutes. Only then did they tell me the system had just come back online. I proceeded to place my order through the app. My order number was 2247.

But even after that, nothing moved. My number wasn’t even showing as “preparing order.” After waiting more than 45 minutes, I had to complain again. That’s when they finally started preparing my order.

What a waste of time. This was supposed to be a quick coffee stop, and I ended up spending over an hour just to get a simple drink.

Opened not too long ago, Zus Coffee seems to be expanding their market to Penang as well. What I love about Zus is their app which enables me to order for delivery or pickup and it was pretty easy and convenient overall.

As for the place, don't expect large tables so if you want to gather and talk in large group, I think this is not the right place.

Coffee wise, price is definitely cheaper than Starbucks or Coffee Bean afaik as you can easily get a cuppa below RM10. My favorite is the gula melaka so if you are someone who don't like sweet stuff then maybe it is not for you. For the regular latte or cappuccino, I am not that particular so i cannot really differentiate between Zus and other coffee chains out there. So to me, I will go to Zus whenever I want to try something different and unique not available at common stores...
