All the food here is SO flavourful. When I say that all the food here is flavour-PACKED i'm not exaggerating. Not only that, all the portions are really generous so you can definitely get value for your money.
REVIEW:
Lee’s Signature Fish Soup ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just looking at the soup you can tell that it’s flavour-packed, they were so so generous with the ingredients and the portioning (even though we ordered soup for 1-2 pax, there was enough to feed about 4 people). The soup is so delicious and I would highly recommend! Diced Chicken with Spicy Chillies ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once again, they were super generous with the meat. Sometimes these dishes come with an equal proportion of chicken to chilli, thankfully this one is not one of them. The meat is perfectly fried, crisp and not oily at all.
Smacked Cucumber ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ Refreshing dish to offset the spice! Not sure why they call it smacked cucumber instead of smashed cucumber though… Maybe they prepare it differently?
Chili Tofu with Century Egg ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ Comes with sooo much century egg, we were so impressed. Very tasty dish overall, but I do wish that it was slightly chilled instead of lukewarm
Cheesy Mantou ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ The mantou is actually really good — fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. However, the sauce was kinda weird. It was cloyingly sweet and maybe a bit artificial. I do think that this dish would be suitable for children, which is great considering that many of the dishes here are not really suited to young children in my opinion.
Fish and Chips Kids Meal ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ A very nice set for children. The fish is actually fresh and quite tasty, but of course the other sides is just frozen stuffs.
The staff are very helpful and the atmosphere is great as well. It is evident that the restaurant takes a lot of pride in their food, everything is extremely high quality and delicious. Even their takeaway is of high standard! Please give this...
Read moreOn my third visit to Lee's restaurant, I knew I'd found my spot for a comforting fish soup fix. This time, I decided to try something new and went for the moderately spicy version of their renowned Chinese sauerkraut fish. While the soup leaned more towards a peppery flavor rather than the expected tangy taste, the added spiciness brought a delightful twist. But the true star was the toman fish they used – plump, boneless, and incredibly fresh. What amazed me the most was its complete lack of any fishy odor. The portion size was just right for two people, although the fish soup itself cost around RM78. To round out my meal, I usually throw in some tasty extras like doughsticks and tofu. The doughsticks, with their chewy texture and a touch of crispiness, were a highlight for me.
The restaurant's modern atmosphere is cooled by air conditioning, adorned with Naruto-themed pictures that resemble Lee. You have the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. While inside tends to get quite noisy when busy, opting for the outdoor space offers a more serene experience.
In conclusion, Lee's restaurant has earned its spot as a top pick for enjoying a meal with loved ones. Just remember, if you're a big group, securing a larger table might be a bit tricky sometimes. With its exceptional fish, inviting ambiance, and potential extras, it's a dining spot well worth...
