Very disappointed with one of the male staff service. Wanted to try at this place quite sometimes and now finally we make it to try on the very first day of cny. Regrettably the service is sucks. At first we thought of the gobi 65 not enough to share so when we received the 1st gobi 65, we immediately ordered another one together with the Massala Omelette as its taste good. However when we tried the gobi 65, we frown bcoz it's tasteless. We tried many restaurant before never tried such blend and tasteless gobi 65. So immediately we told the staff we would like to cancel our order. But a male staff came to us saying they already started to do it. So my brother in law tried to inform him the reason why we wanna cancel. He then told us their gobi 65 is like that. Ok so u mean ur restaurant served a tasteless gobi 65. So no choice we just accept it. Then we waited very long for our puri. After the 1st set out and I was still waiting for the 2nd one. So I checked with a lady staff and she said okok (that time was crowded and I think staffs were busy). After awhile I checked with the male staff again about my 2nd puri. He said ok coming and indeed after like a minute my puri was out. After we nearly finished everything, another puri was out. I told her I got mine already. Then she went back and the male staff came to us again and said we ordered 2 sets at first and then we added another 1 more set. I told him no, I only asked the staff to check my puri I didn't order. He seems unhappy and said but it's already here and u did add 1 more set with our staff. I again told him I only asked to check the order and I didn't add on. He keeps arguing with me saying but the puri is already here seems like they just wan us to accept whatever it is. I told him if I ordered I will accept but I didn't. He started saying just now we also wanna cancel the gobi 65 and now saying we didnt order. This staff is really trying my temper. He's lucky today is first day of cny or else today I will be going to have war with him though. I never face such a bad attitude service crew for so long. If you are busy and mixed up our order that's not my problem so don't make your problem become my problem. Your service is a mess and I'm telling you even my son who loves gobi 65 didn't like to eat your gobi 65 at all ok. You have to accept people feedback as F&B line. And your customer service is SUCKS!! One way ticket for me thank you very much. Guess what, the second Omelette we ordered was too salty. So guess your chef added salt at the wrong item....
Read moreThe Banana Leaf Kitchen is a South Indian style restaurant that offers a buffet-style dining experience, allowing customers to eat as much as they like. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including mutton curry, chicken curry, kobi 65, fried chicken, and tofu, which are all refilled regularly. One of the notable aspects of the restaurant's cuisine is that the seasoning is not overly spicy, making it accessible to a wider range of palates. However, drinks are not included in the buffet price and are subject to an additional charge, which some customers may find expensive.
Despite hearing that the refill wait can be long, the service during my visit was fast and efficient. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, constantly checking on customers and offering to refill dishes. They also asked if we were full and if we needed anything else, ensuring that our dining experience was as comfortable as possible. The environment of the restaurant was pleasant, although not particularly noteworthy.
Overall, I would recommend The Banana Leaf Kitchen for those looking for a tasty and reasonably priced South Indian buffet. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with...
