Chai Ji Fish Soup at Eco Botanic is one of those reliable spots I like to visit when I’m craving a light yet satisfying meal. The menu is straightforward, and their fish soup is exactly what you’d hope for—clean-tasting, well-seasoned, and generous with ingredients. I usually go for the sliced fish version, and the slices are always fresh, smooth, and tender, without any of that unpleasant fishy smell you sometimes get at lesser places.
The broth leans more toward the clear, umami-rich Cantonese style rather than being heavily milky or peppery. It’s comforting without feeling heavy—perfect for a midday or post-travel meal. Service is fast and efficient, even during the lunch crowd. The space is clean, no-frills, and has a steady flow of diners, which is always a good sign. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size you get, especially in the Eco...

We ordered Champion seafood soup + add on oyster (8 pcs stated in menu). We are disappointed to find out it only has 7 oysters so we dun know it was from the champion soup or our add on. We feedback to the waitress and she quickly check with the chef and they serve us another bowl of soup with oysters that they missed out.

Surprisingly, the fish slices soup came huge and bigger portion that the adults.

Read moreBeen bookmarked this resto for a while and finally got to try it. I ate here during early dinner, easy to park and we were the only one who dined in there.
Their menu actually not a lot the soup variation keep repeating, it’s only the matter of ingredients inside.
We ordered: Signature fresh fish soup (5/5) The soup really nice, taste savoury and balance. I ordered the kwetiaw dry version, the kwetiaw is ok ok only just like standard dry noodle type.
Spicy pork meat soup (3/5) Actually the taste quite nice but it really just too spicy even thou alrd requested to add milk. The spiciness level is not enjoyable and comforting to keep you drink the soup.
Eggplant (sidedish) (5/5) It’s eggplant with meat and shrimp paste inside, simple but nice.
Overall it’s good, will definitely come again for the signature...
