Place: air-conditioned restaurant that specialises in western based cuisine such as steak, tomahawk, and burgers. There's no Internet connection inside the restaurant, but they provide free WiFi. There were still 1 annoying fly flying around when I dined here. Which was annoying. The price here makes the expectation that much higher. For the price paid, 4 stars.
Service: very good the moment I arrived. Introduced us to the menu and welcomed us to sit inside without being creepy. Promptly refilled our water and changed our plates when it was used and messy.
Food: Couple set of 1 Entrée, 2 appetiser (can't choose), 2 main courses (can choose from 3 different dishes of chicken, prawn or steak), and 2 desserts (can't choose) for RM180:
Entrée: A) asparagus soup - well, let's say the 1st dish, which is supposed to set the tone and impression for the entire course, was a disappointment, to say the least. It was tasteless and lacked seasoning. Was definitely not the best dish to serve up front. It's just not my bowl of soup. Could bring myself to even take a 3rd spoon of soup. There was an ant on my soup bowl... perhaps a 1 off? Verdict: 1.5/5.
Appetiser: A) crispy salmon sushi - a refreshingly different take to sushi, which I thought was nicely executed in terms of presentation, taste, seasoning, and idea. But after just 1 bite of the sushi, the deep fried sushi got the better of my satiety and made the appetite plunge. The cripsy sushi rice, which was deep fried, was overcooked at some parts and made it stick to my teeth and left a troublesome after effect and taste. Verdict: 2.9/5. B) salad - light, flavourful, perfectly seasoned, a wonderful mix of bacon, chicken, eggs, and vegetable delights that make it a perfect marriage of salad. 4.7/5.
Main: It took a little bit too long, in my opinion. A) tiger prawn: 4 stunningly fresh prawns cooked to perfection, cleaned thoroughly, de-shelled adequately so as not to make it a hassle to eat, and flavour wise was spot on. Down side: too much fried potatoes, making it visually the main attention instead of the wonderful prawns underneath. But well done, dish. Verdict: 4.3/5. B) black Angus steak: requested for medium, and it came as medium rare. So they took it back for a re-fire. Got it back medium. Pre-cut meat that's left to bleed onto the plate (risky move, but considering the dish was brought back to be re-fired, it bled out even more onto the plate), but seasoned a second time after being cut. Wonderful flavours, bold and clean. The mash potato puree on the side did little to add depth to the dish. The black pepper sauce was a great sauce that compliments the steak well. Verdict: 4.75/5.
Dessert: A) fried chocolate wanton with vanilla ice cream: wonderful! Fried chocolate with ice cream! Nothing can go wrong here! Verdict: 4.85/5. B) chocolate sponge cake with ice cream: everything is good but the ice cream was too small a spoon....
Read moreBuffet Lunch on a Friday afternoon, there were no crowd, plenty of seats available, parking was not an issue.
Sat down at the window seat, clean, fancy looking place.
Staffs were quick to serve, but was not very helpful in explaining how the buffet works.
Once decided on the buffet, they will walk away without Asking your choice of starters Your choice of meat Doneness of the meat
Quickly found out that EVERYTHING will be served,
You will get a whole platter of bread, a waste of food because let's be real, no one will be eating the whole plate of bread, and I sure hope they do not recycle the platter of bread.
Mushroom soup, nachos were decent above average. The other two pastas, not so (they should consider asking patrons if they even want it in the first place)
Then comes the meat platter as per the picture shown, served by what I could say, garam bae of Malaysia.
First of all, it was a platter of mixed grill, drizzled in sweet BBQ sauce.
Lots of meat, much more than anyone could finish, but here's the issue
Since they did not ask about preferences, everything was there. Chicken - Tender, drowned and overpowered by the gravy. Beef/lamb - well-done, not in a good way, it was literally over cooked, every bit of it. Meats were as tough as tree bark, tasteless, and the only consolation is that I went home with a stronger jaw.
Waiters came around to check if I wanted a second servings of food, and without hesitation, I declined, it will take a long time to digest tree bark toughness meat.
Then was offered a free drink to write a 5 star review here, which I declined to do so.
Were they aware regarding the overcooked meat? Yes, I told them about it, and the explanation given is that everything was cooked together, therefore red meats were overcooked (what!?)
For RM70, was it worth the money? It's hard to judge Will I return? Not even if it was free.
I hope the owner of this establishment will see this and do better for their future customers, chefs/cook, please respect your food, that quality of cooking is no better than an average home cook, and I truly believe anyone can make cook better than that, given that it was over cooked and zero control...

I came without a reservation and thought we might be turned away, but the staff graciously seated my family and me in the outdoor dining area. It turned out to be ideal, especially with young kids who can be a bit energetic – it gave us space and comfort without worrying about disturbing the indoor ambiance.
We ordered the smoked beef carbonara, ribeye steak, and tenderloin steak. Everything was superb. The service stood out – our waiter regularly checked in to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied. I asked if they had plain mashed potatoes for my 12-month-old baby, and they kindly brought out a bowl on the house. Since steaks take time to prepare, the waiter also offered complimentary nachos while we waited – which were, by the way, really good!
Both steaks arrived at the same time, cooked perfectly medium rare – juicy, well-seasoned, and flavorful. I appreciated that the sauces were served on the side, letting the meat shine on its own. The accompanying sauces were delicious too, but the steak itself was the true star.
The carbonara didn’t disappoint either – pasta cooked al dente, the sauce creamy and rich, and the smoked beef added a great depth of flavor.
From the food to the service and atmosphere, everything was top notch. Highly recommended, and I’ll...
