Place: air-conditioned restaurant that specialises in western food. Love the ambience of library and cozy feel with soft acoustic music in the background and leather covered table tops and cushioned chairs, with lotsss of books at the side for reading (not just for decoration). Surprisingly or not, there are flies INSIDE the restaurant, which was kinda a letdown.
Service: fairly prompt. We were served the moment we entered despite being nearly full house. But unfortunately many tables were booked under reservation. Food was a little slow to be served.
Food: Lasagna (RM29.50): the taste profile was good here, not too overpowering but well seasoned at the same time. What I didn't like was the amount of oil inside the dish ⅓ way into the dish. It was just simply vessel occluding and gut wrenching to finish the entire plate of it. Struggled to finish this dish as felt bloated half way through this dish. One should NEVER ATTEMPT to finish this on one's self!! Even if one could, itll be bad for your heart. Verdict: if not for the oil bath, I'd say its recommended.
Grilled chicken chop (RM16.50): chicken was slightly overcooked too just like the fish. But packed with flavour and well seasoned. The baked potatoes was OILY TOO!! SERIOUSLY, WHATS WRONG WITH THIS SHOP AND OIL??! otherwise, was ok la. Nothing special here. Verdict: moving on.
Nachos el grande (RM21.50): wow! Excellent starter!! Loved how the nachos sauce, mixed with the beef queso and salsa. Muah! Just wonderful. Verdict: recommended.
Fish and hash (RM13): the single fish slice was firm and slightly overcooked. The 2 pieces of hash was ok la, but slightly oily. Too much oil in a single dish. Verdict:...
Read moreCame in today at 5 pm considering the good reviews seen. We were greeted by this tall and slim waitress. We were 2 adults and one child. The waitress asked us to sit at the table near the entrance. The sun was shining jn and it was hot! We asked if we can sit inside as there were a lot of empty tables available. Then she said those tables are for 5 people. We cannot sit there. Common sense please, it wasn't at peak hours and there are available seats there. And we are with a child. We insisted politely to sit inside. Then she went to another male waiter, talked about us and just left us waiting at the entrance. So rude. The waiter then came and brought us to the table. I just felt like leaving the place already but then we figured to just give them a chance. Thankfully the male waiter was polite and nice. Then comes the food review. We ordered lamb chops, sirloin steak and the kids pasta with cream sauce. Both the steak and lamb was heavily marinated and was too spicy. Like literally you cannot taste the meat and its just the taste of spice. The kids pasta with cream sauce was literally just pasta, the sauce and a few mixed veges. No protein at all. And did i mention they actually put a piece of watermelon (with the skin) in the same plate as the lamb and steak! Weighing the price with the Bad attitude of the workers and The qualify and taste of the food I would not recommend this place. There are many other place with better food, service and better price. This will.be the first and the last for us. (Note: i rarely type a long review, but this place doesn't deserve...
