Place: As of November 2023, they have expanded the seating area and .ade it even bigger now!! With more stalls that sell even more variety for all to enjoy!! But the problem with flies is STILL A PROBLEM!! NO CHANGE IN THIS ASPECT AT ALL!! something has to be done!!
open air seating, with good ventilation and a variety of food to choose from. U'll be spoiled for choices. Place is windy and cooling despite almost always kicking up a crowd. Toilet here is quite clean. Parking isn't usually a problem unless at peak hours. The GLARING thing here are the pesky flies that linger around when I'm eating. If the restaurant can settle this problem, it'll be a 5 stars for me.
Service: drinks are fairly prompt, but can be left wanting at times. Otherwise is ok la. All other food is self ordered, and delivered.
Food:
Dim Sum - 3 siew mai (3 steamed pork duming)& 3 taufu steamed pork dumpling (RM11.20): really a home-made taste to this dim sum. Wonderfully fresh and tasty packed with flavour and the chilli sauce goes well with it. Verdict: a bit pricey but satisfied with taste.
Taiwanese minced pork with fried chicken (RM9): taste good but nothing to shout about here. Verdict: would eat if I fancy.
Mee hoon kuih stall (RM7): sells fairly nice yee mee and meehoon kuih soup/dry based sauce and can kick up quite a waiting queue. Verdict: 3.7/5. Worth trying.
Rojak stall: haven't tried.
popiah stall: looks good, but haven't tried.
Korean food: haven't tried.
Fruit stall (RM2-3.50): sells a variety and reasonably priced fruits on the go. Asam or not, your choice. For a place that sells fruits for dine in and take away, good job. Verdict: 4.3/5.
Mixed rice stall (RM7-RM10): ok la...so so, just like any other mixed rice stalls. Variety of choices but all similar in terms of base taste. Pricing can be a little pricey depending on the mood of the lady in charge. Beware. Verdict: 3.4/5.
Herbal soul stall (RM10-14): ordered a few times here, but ended up finding a cockroach inside my soup, and that was the last. At your own risk! Verdict: -/5.
Mala food stall: haven't tried.
claypot noodles shop (RM7-8): Nice flavour and right amount, friendly and cheerful male boss and supportive female helper. Wonderful to order here. Food taste great too. Verdict: 4/5.
Prawn noodles stall (RM8): serve up a mean curry noodles soup with thick curry broth and fairly flavourful curry. Its ok for my taste buds. Good blend between spicy and savoury....
Environment is kind of stuffy and lack ventilation; despite so many ceiling and pillar fans being installed, the heat and temperature inside the hawker center can be unbearable, stuffy and very hot. As for food options, they're a lot of variety to choose from. However there are some standard stalls that's still lacking, such as fried oyster omelette, ikan bakar (BBQ fish and seafoods), Sarawak kolo mee, you tiao (deep fried dough sticks), ice kacang, mee rebus, mee Siam, are not available. I ordered the Hokkien fried prawn mee, popiah and waffles. The Hokkien fried prawn mee doesn't taste nice at all, after a couple of mouths full, it tasted kind of starchy, gross and unappetizing. The popiah lacks flavors and the portion is too small for the amount paid; not worth the price paid. Lastly, the waffles were delightful, a little dry but meaty and bitey. Nevertheless, the brewed coffee and tea were recommended, strong flavoured, fragrant and creamy. There are many more stalls and foods that are worth trying. I'll...
