From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a warm ambiance and spacious seating, perfect for accommodating larger groups.
We started our meal with the Tomyam Chicken Clear Soup served in a pot. It was incredibly appetizing, warming our stomachs with its perfect balance of flavors – not too spicy, not too sour, just right. The hot soup was comforting and invigorating, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience.
The Mango Salad Fried Fish was a delightful surprise. The crispy fried fish paired beautifully with the spicy mango salad, creating a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that left us craving for more. It was a well-executed combination that exceeded our expectations.
Another standout dish was the Fried Kang Kong. It was hands down the most delicious kangkong I've ever tasted. The dish showcased the perfect ripeness of the vegetables, providing a refreshing and satisfying bite with every mouthful.
We also indulged in the Fried Egg Omelette, which was special indeed. The omelette was crispy and flavorful without being overly oily, adding another dimension of taste and texture to our meal.
Overall, Khunya Thai at Eko Botani surpassed our expectations with its delectable Thai cuisine and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're dining with a small group or a larger party, Khunya Thai is sure to impress with its impeccable dishes and excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Thai flavors in a comfortable and...
Read moreWent there on Valentine’s Day on 14/2/2025 at 9.30 pm . The place was packed so assumed our orders gonna be late and tat was totally acceptable. Waited 45 minutes for our food juz to get the wrong order and it took another 15 minutes to get the order right.
Upon entering the shop no one came to seat us. There were a lot of empty tables which have not been cleaned yet. So we were just waiting inside the shop waiting for someone to attend us. By the way the waiters and the counter lady was all around us pretending to be blind. Or maybe they r blind of u standing there.
The shop closes at 11pm. And at 10.30 pm all of the waiters began to sit down in a big table ..about 12 of them and start to have their dinner. Like all of them together. I’ve never seen this. Usually they wil take turn to have their meal . But everyone together at the same time. At this point of time, there were still a lot of customers in the shop which still needed attention and that included us too.
All of them engaging in a meal together at a very busy point of the shop made us hesitate to even call them out for attention.
I needed to pack some leftovers.
Since calling them for attention was not easy, I had to bring the plate up to the paying counter, they had to come to take the payment and tats when I got their attention to pack my food.
So the food was good But their customer service was ridiculous. I’ve never faced...
Read moreIt is quite a new restaurant and hence not well patronised yet. But what the restaurant shouldn't have done is to recycle certain foods. For example the prawns in our tomyam soup weren't fresh and hence was mushy in texture. And the pandan chicken was from a previous day's batch, unsold and refried and served to us resulting in a dark and dry batch of chicken. You see, if you are a new restaurant amongst so many others in Eco Botanic vying for customers, then you need your food to speak out for you. Certain things just cannot be scrimp on. Besides, first impression counts.
The service however is excellent. The wait staff was very friendly and also took our complain on the pandan chicken to the kitchen and later waived the dish for us. She even asked if we have any other issues. I had no heart to tell her then that the shrimps in their tomyum soups weren't fresh either. Hope they will have more customers soon so that their ingredients can be turned over faster instead of laying about past their...
