I am extremely disappointed with the drastic drop in the quality of your chicken shawarma. When I used to order previously, it always came with more than one set of fries, but now it’s been reduced to just one small portion. On top of that, there was absolutely no schezwan sauce inside – which makes me seriously question if what I was served can even be called a shawarma.
The wrap itself was extremely dry, bland, and completely lacking in taste. This is a huge contrast compared to last year, when it was prepared by another staff member who actually knew how to make it flavorful and satisfying.
It’s frustrating to see such a decline, and I honestly feel cheated as a customer who expected consistency and proper quality. I hope you take this feedback seriously and restore the standard that once made your shawarma worth ordering.
Dear Restaurant Manager, Order date - 24/03/2025 at 8pm
I would like to express my concerns regarding a recent experience at your establishment. As a regular customer, I've noticed a decline in both service and food quality.
I visited today 24/03/2025 at 8pm , I ordered two Chicken Shawarmas with Schezwan sauce and fries. The cashier staff member confirmed that the 10% student discount had been applied to my order. However, I was not shown the amount being entered into the card machine. When I received the bill, I found that the discount had not been applied, even though the original receipt generated by your system reflected it. When I brought this to the staff member's attention, he offered no apology and simply stated that he would apply the discount next time. This response is disappointing and does not reflect the level of customer service I expect.
Additionally, I have noticed that the size of the shawarmas has decreased over time, and the quality has not been as good as it used to be. Previously, the portions were larger and more satisfying.
I urge you to address this issue with the cashier staff member involved, as this is not the first time there has been a mix-up with my order. I am concerned about the changes in service and quality at your restaurant, which used to be known for its excellent...
Read morePlace: air conditioned restaurant with seats catered towards groups of 8 to 10 per table. Food is fairly expensive compared to mamak, but taste is more authentic as it is Arab based. Free WiFi is a plus point here (password=19191919).
Service: could have been faster, but still helpful overall and tried their best to explain to me a 1st timer here. Thank u for the effort. Love that they're all wearing the same uniform.
Food:
Lamb Mandy (RM32): what stood out for me in this dish was the tenderness of the lamb. It was just exquisite. Though the "sauce" provided was a light based salsa type sauce, however, what it lacked was a thick sauce base. Outwardly, it was dry. A sauce i.e. curry or rendang sauce would make it perfect. Even after asking for their chicken curry, it was watery. Verdict: i liked the lamb, but it could be improved with a better sauce.
Ayam tandoori ¼ (RM9.90): wow I loved this dish!! The flavour, the richness of the herbs used, the tenderness of the chicken meat, and the charr that's just right on the outside, makes this an unforgettable experience. Verdict:...
Got CONNED by the Pakistani male waiter named Aziz & he ruined the branding & reputation of this reknown Restaurant in Eco Botanic. During his order taking he recommended me to select the Lamb Shank Beryani which is more costly than what I wanted ie just the ordinary Lamb Beryani. He promised me to treat me free of charge with a glass of Teh Tarik so I reluctantly obliged. Upon paying at the Cashier I saw the imprint of RM8.90 for Teh Tarik. Obviously, any sane human being would then ask why the charge when he promised to give free. Instantly, he pulled a story to lie & I told him straight into his eyes, “You dont do such hanky panky lie in Malaysia. If you cant give free just say so upfront. I trusted you when you said it was free”. Is this how the owners & mgmt of a highly respectable company MATAN ALBARAKAH BISTRO trained & condoned deceiving & lying behaviours by the staff, I really wonder. Shame on Aziz to break trust & display his lack of integrity, honesty & dignity. Would I return or recommend to many of my friends & relatives on...
