Bharat Curry House (Mount Austin) — Restaurant in Johor

This is one of few branches throughout JB and located at a prominent business district in the City. In my opinion, though you can get food all the time, the best time to come is around 10.30am and you get to enjoy both breakfast menus (ending at 11.00am) or just tuck in the lunch menu which is fresh and steaming. Besides indian food, you can also buy snacks, indian sweets and pickles which are common side-dish in every indian home. The best thing about these restaurants is that they serve the food on a banana leaf which adds additional homely touch with a special taste because you taste it directly from the fingers that feeds the food to your mouth since you eat with your hands. If you're neither a Non-Hindu or a Muslim and you've been eating a banana leaf meal with a fork and spoon all this while, try using your hands the next time around and you will know...

We travelled across six countries in SE Asia over a six-month period and we had hands down our best meal here. Best of all, we didn’t even intend to go there. We stumbled across the restaurant whilst trying to walk to the mall. We asked the staff if they serve vegetarian and they explained to us that they have a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian work area in their kitchen, so there is no fear of cross-contamination. We ordered the vegetarian Thali and we were sent two giant assortments of dishes, many of which were different on our respective plates. This was great as we could taste each others and meant we must have tasted 20+ dishes. The standout dish was the vegan mutton, which was probably the best mock meat we’ve ever had. As well as the two Thalis we had a hot ginger tea and a mango lassi, and the whole lot came to 39RM....

Old review 2018 Indian curry house opposite Hospital Sultan Ismail. Makes it easy choice for many hospital visitors and staffs. I used to visit the place couple of years ago and the quality getting worse. The management should improve the ambience and as well with cleanliness. The flies control technic a bit old school and can be unpleasant for some visitors. Otherwise food is good and price is acceptable.
