The food in this cafe is a hit and miss.
Some are good some are below par.
So it is like a lucky dip.
The kueh Kueh selection is wide. Feels like they take from different suppliers and put them together.
Half the kueh we selected are good and the rest are forgettable.
I ordered two half boiled eggs, one of them seems looks not so fresh while the other one is just nice.
The Kaya toast can definitely be better, the butter slices are too thin and too little, the bread is way too dry, feels like it's been left there for too long. The toast is lacking in fire power so it is still soft but hard. I did not even finish the toast.
The fried Mee siam is the star ⭐ item though. It is served straight from the wok, piping hot, has enough spicy and sourness on point. The fried egg is hot straight from the frying pan. However the boiled egg slice is cold. The chilli has good balance of spicy and tangy.
Would be awesome if they could keep the standard of the...
Read moreWas pleasantly surprised by the huge mig of kopi C when it came. Strong (gao) coffee and full bodied and balanced. Service is good too, however staff cannot speak English, cashier had to help translate. Ordered the signature black pepper udon and it was tasty, but a tad too peppery. Perhaps the chef can go easy on the pepper sauce just a bit. Thanks! Loved that they have a combination of nyonya delights, nanyang and western choices. Great for families with younger generation. Definitely a must try to please the appetites of young and old alike. They even have cendol and lontong but will try it next time.
Bought takeaway peanut and chicken porridge and it was tasteless. I wonder if the chef forgot to add salt? Otherwise the quantity was substantial n the packaging was outstanding. Thank you. Otherwise I would have given the...

This place fills up their drinks and food in the bowl to the brim with contents exceeding the height of the bowl! Extremely generous serving! Even the silky smooth tissue you can retrieve easily without tearing apart from the wall is of top hotel quality! 😅 Simple things like this you appreciate when most if not all others can't achieve it! Food (apart from kuih, we had porridge) & drink (good quality barley, lemon) quality is good overall, including the variety of kuih muih we tried from the shop front. If I want to be extra picky, the Chinese chives is abit too salty - probably didn't mix well during cooking. There are also some flies around to disturb you. Overall, very good...
