I rode my bike to Nasi Kandar Hijrah, and while motorbike parking isn't readily available, I managed to find a spot at a non-motorcycle parking area. Despite the long queue, it moved surprisingly fast, which was impressive and a testament to the efficiency of the staff.
Once inside, I was greeted by a bustling, lively atmosphere that perfectly complemented the delicious aromas wafting through the air. I decided to try two plates of nasi kandar, featuring an array of mouthwatering items. The lamb shank was tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection. The fish egg and squid egg added a unique and delightful twist to the meal. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, while the lady fingers and begedil were excellent accompaniments. The vegetables, which included a mix of cabbage and potatoes, were fresh and well-seasoned, providing a nice balance to the rich and hearty dishes.
Every bite was a burst of flavors, and the meal was absolutely wholesome and satisfying. The portions were generous, ensuring that you leave feeling full and content. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.

Another highlight was their chicken skin. Shattering crispy and well salted. A must-order in my book!
Service is excellent... again! The cashier will ask about your dining experience which is almost unheard of.
Dec '23 Its system is basically to choose from the plethora of dishes, find a seat and place drink order. After the meal, proceed to cashier for payment.
The rice was drenched in curry and various braising liquid mixture akin to Hainanese curry rice.
Ayam Bawang which is a fried chicken and smothered with sweet onion sambal. Unfortunately the chicken was too tough for my liking. Its sauce was addictive.
Salted egg was cooked nicely and not to death. Bitter gourd retained its crunchy texture, which may be too "green in taste" for some. I enjoyed it with a mixture of salted egg and sambal which is a great combi for me.
Their sambal, available for self-service, is of a gritty texture. Flavorsome and well spiced.
Service is unlike many stalls, here the staff is proactive...
