The Sugar Pantry — Restaurant in Johor

We had the 2 pax tea set and it was pleasant although not out of the world good. There was variety in the sweets though the savoury choices were a bit limiting and the tea was topped out for the 2 of us when it ran out. All round service was polite and adequate which is a rarity in JB and that makes this place a bit of a gem. Perhaps this is because we are the only ones around especially in this virus filled times.

If you have the time to hang around and catch up with friends, this is actually a lovely place to be. If the tea set is not your thing, and you are a bit more picky the huge variety of breads might entice you more.

The place is easy to find since it is the corner lot and there are plenty of parking lots especially further down though pls be aware of the summon lady and use the MBJB app! We spotted one of these which caused a bit of a panic outside the shop even though our car is across the street some...

I have a last minute order of cake from sugar pantry and promised for a pick up in the afternoon but I did not go. I feel so bad for the last min changes and ask for a delivery. (Thinking of the worse that I need to forfeit the cake as the payment made) and the I receive a reply from the person in charge:

Came on a Sunday morning at around 1030. Was shocked that I'm the only one there. The staff was nice but seems to require a lot of request for him to get basic things right (like giving out menu, making sure everyone has cutleries etc). The food was pretty good and the plating is very nice as well. However, two of our orders of Berry pancakes both came to be banana pancakes as well. The drinks are very sweet and could be tamed down.
