KyoChon Chicken @ Bangi Seksyen 9 — Restaurant in Kajang Municipal Council

The Place: A smaller branch of KyoChon, mainly catering for take-away and delivery orders. Although, they do have plenty of seating in store.

The Food: You can find their usual signature chicken dishes, but menu is limited compared to larger branches. Food was good,...when it eventually came.

The Service: We chose to dine-in and were quickly shown to a table upon arrival. Once order was made, the wait time is really too long and definitely something that could be improved. A female staff tending to things in front needs to work on her people skills. She was seemingly impatient and can often be heard speaking rather curtly. Other than that, on cleanliness. When I went to the sink to wash my hands, I was horrified to find snippets of hair all over the sink, like someone has been grooming themselves at that sink and didn't tidy up after (see photos).

Verdict: Initially, I was excited to see KyoChon open a branch in Bangi and was eager to try it out. And although I enjoyed the food, the service, wait time and that sink incident left me with a bad taste. They are still new and I hope they will do...

I have read other reviews about this establishment. And let me just say one thing jas not changed: The waiting time. Like, do you have a shortage of workers? On this day(14/7/2024), at 2pm I saw one of your workers not working; supposedly slacking off at the back. Causing only one waiter/cashier to be available. I mean, I've read a review from SEVEN MONTHS AGO criticising the same thing. Nothing's changed. Are you guys low on workers or something? My family and I entered at 2 pm and left at 4. Slow as a sloth. Or maybe it isn't slow. Maybe your workers are just npcs. Npcs that randomly appear when they should've been hard at work since earlier. Even our drinks came later than our chickens. So, I can't just blame the cooks for this. The unfortunate Miss, the supposedly randomly appearing npc and the supposedly slacker at the back are also to blame. And I have no doubt that this review of mine will be met with a copy paste lip service comment from the restaurant. Just like the other reviews.

Horrible waiting time - Even though we ordered for pickup byGrab order, we still had to wait almost 30 minutes after the store informed the order was ready. They will prepare ur food only when u arrive. Thumbs down.

Food taste - the chicken is crunchier than other korean chicken outlets but was not fresh and the chicken appeared bruised and had an unfresh smell to it (we bought on 2 diff occasions)

Price - more expensive than other restaurant. They charge u RM2 for packaging and even if you dont want the paperbag they still charge rm1 for the box (?!!) and WET TISSUE that you dont want and they only provide 1 tiny wet tissue for an order om rm70++ What if I didnt want paperbag, box and wet tissue? Well not an option. Always add rm2 and tax to your purchase for takeaway. I think this is called cheating customers.

Service - slow (as mentioned) and the staff are unfriendly - maybe stressed but management need to do something about this
