Just recently opened a few years ago in one of the corner lot area in S8 bangi. Usually the area is quite secluded so any F&B shop cannot maintain for long, but not this one.
Decided to plan for buka puasa here, and as expected it's quite full. Parking is okay though no need to worry, and all our food & drinks arrived before azan.
Taste wise, nasi kambing bakar is nice, tender meat and spicy sambal kicap, complements well. Nasi daging crispy is also recommended. Crispy batter outside, really tender meat inside and well balanced seasoning. Definitely need to try their sambal gepuk, Spicy yet nutty with cashew blend. really kaw. I just wish the portion would be bigger, beza sangat portion protein dekat nasi and western. I wouldn't mind paying more.
For drinks, biscoff cheesecake milkshake is good. not too sweet and a really strong biscoff flavor, for those who love the spread, the drink is for you.
Tldr : Flexible food options for people who prefers malay or even western food. Recommended place to bring your parents, saudara mara, jiran2. Will...

We ordered: Grill chicken set - 2/5 This could be the worst chicken chop I ever had. Skin was burnt, marinated in a weird way and tasted like satay, the meat didn't taste fresh, very dry and not juicy. The blackpepper sauce, garlic bun and fries were nice tho, what a waste. It just tasted worse than any roadside/hawker chicken chop but pricey. 2 score is for the sides, no joke.
Carbonara with Grill Chicken - 2/5 The sauce was watery and not mildly, and the same weird grilled chicken.
Spaghetti Tendeloin Palembang- 4/5 Not bad, the beef quite tasty and its very spicy! Order at your own risk LOL.
Sweet potato fries - 2.5/5 Quite nice, but too oily, you can feel the oil while biting it. Tell them to serve with chilli sauce because the mayo here is out.
Signature Tarqisah Coffee - 3.5/5 Quite nice, worth trying. Literally salted caramel latte you can get anywhere.
Conclusion: 'boleh tahan, but nothing...
Read moreWe tried both the Nasi Kambing Bakar and the Nasi Gepuk Daging Crispy. Even though my Kambing Bakar has the caption "MUST TRY", I think I prefer the crispy beef rice instead. It tastes better, and the meat is pretty tender.
Taste-wise I think it's okay and not bad. I certainly won't say that it's special or anything. But if you're hungry it gets the job done. Although I would say that the portion is just okay (if you're a guy, you'd understand what I meant by that 😜). So it can satiate your hunger, but probably won't indulge your desire so to speak.
I do think and agree that the price is a bit steep. The tables are a bit more closed together, so less privacy when you compare with other cafes. But it's actually a good place if you wanna bring your family.
All in all, I guess it's a good enough place if you wanna try the food. And good enough to go if you're hungry and other places are full. But I'm not sure I'll ever come back to the place. Not because it's bad or anything. Just because I think it doesn't really...
