MY VERY FIRST PRIVATE DINING WITH FAMILY The environment was superb, chill and cozy. The chef and staff was very good in entertaining the customers. The flow in kitchen was smooth. They serve our food perfect on time. Food and drinks are visually appetising and refined finishing.
Here is our rating for the foods and drinks:
Pulled Lamb Taco: 10/10, juicy beef perfectly combined with avocado sauce and salsa. The shell was crispy, avocado sauce is creamy and salsa is sour, both complement each other.
BBQ chicken Taco: 8.5/10, chicken was perfectly seasoned, not dry and again the sause and salsa were amazing. Those who cannot eat lamb or beef, chicken is amazing. I love lamb so pulled lamb taco is the winner.
Truffle scented mushroom soup: 9/10, the creaminess, fine and visually attractive made this dish on the top, you can actually smell the truffle, and it taste amazing, a whole new world to me. This is not a regular mushroom soup.
Gyoza and caviar: 10/10, my top tier favourite because the visual, presentation and of course the taste. The gyoza melts into the mouth, the soup inside it was perfect, caviar alleviate the dish into whole level. It adds flavour, texture and umami. The filling was juicy and flavourful. Overall fantastic dish ever. This is the top tier fine dining dishes ever.
Char siu flavoured octopus: 7.5/10, the octopus taste good, the soy sauce taste soft and complement the octopus. This dish speaks to me as we are in ocean. The flavour was solf, mellow and a bit of umami. The pucuk paku was unique addition to it and overall it is good.

Read moreWe came here after booking on a short notice, so it was very nice that the staff got back to us when they found two spots available.
We ordered mushroom and lamb tacos, mushroom soup, hasselback potatoes, wagyo beef, dessert and two mocktails. The steak was heavenly, something that my partner mentioned several times on our way back to the hotel. The lamb tacos were also very good. The rest of the food was good too, although it could have used more salt. I think the mushroom tacos and the soup could easily benefit from more bold flavors, a little kick would have been amazing in these dishes. The pandan leave dessert was very unique with its local ingredients (e.g. bean paste, coconut palm sugar, coconut cream) and flavors and very light and not very sweet, which I liked - a very interesting creation. And the mock tails were amazing too.
The staff was super friendly, it was interesting watching them put together the meals and tell us about the food. It's a fun experience in Alor Setar, I'd recommend it to people who want a live dining experience for the fraction of the price...
