I stayed in Fuller Hotel for 3 nights, I was very satisfied with house keeping but very disappointed with the reception staffs. My first day I wanted to check-in I gave my details to the male receptionist he was so inexperience and slow. I wanted to inform him that my 3rd night was a separate booking but under Agoda he just shut me off before I could finish explaining to him. After that I told him to about my 3rd night stay please put me in the same room he said yes but he didn't key in to the computer system.
My second day just to be sure I informed another male receptionist (Amir) he just said yes he will key in into the system but he didn't, on my third day went out then made a U turn back to the hotel and informed a morning shift male receptionist that I extended my stay and my bill already settled with Agoda and he just said "yes yes...." Then when I was in the car I received a call from the male receptionist asked me why I haven't check-out at around 1.06PM. I told him that before I went out I already informed you all and please check your computer system so far I informed the reception 3 times ....then he said "ok ok" well I hung up the call so upset I just don't trust the receptionist then I rang the hotel and asked for the front office manager!
They put me through to speak to one senior male receptionist.... He was so rude and he said "the receptionist was confused" then I told him how can your receptionist can get confused where I repeatedly reminded them for 3 times then he accused me ( the hotel guest) and he said twice on the phone " if you already informed us this morning then we wouldn't call you " In another words he was saying I was telling a lie!!
When his boss asked him to apologise...well he did it unwilling and he said something really can stirred up religious issues ' you are God lah' His name is Ean ! This is absolutely disappointing!
Only one senior reception staff who is very professional, friendly and good in his job is Nazri. And as for the assistant hotel manager, she is also very professional and friendly ...she tried her best to solved the problem but her male receptionist (Ean) really embarrassed her by being rude and apologised unwillingly with funny remarks over and over again both in speech...
Read moreI booked Fuller Hotel from booking.com while im in Alor Setar Kedah for a few days trip. How regret and upset i felt soon i reached at the lobby. ||Lobby was small and theres 2 receptionist at the table sitting like a prince and princess. No smile ( oh wearing mask - but you can smile with your eyes), not even a words , hi , hello or welcome to Fuller Hotel!!! ||So i went to the princess table her, maybe he name of Fifie, to check in. ||She/ he maybe, was showing her arrogant behavior towards me, when I ask hi, you dont say hi to your guest, she just rolled up her / his eyes and straight away asked me||‘You ada booking?” Not even address me as Ms, Madam or , use the words please , may I know..||Then, “ IC card!” 🙁, so I gave her my National ID, she/he took it , not even say thank you ||When i asked her/him about restaurant, or other facilities , the answer will be “NO”, NO... and finally she /he said “this is budget hotel!!!” Almost shouting at me...||And the unpleasant attitude, behavior continues .. not once she said thank you when i handover cards and money for the check in process. What an arrogant, rude attitude this person has towards guests||Fuller hotel you only spoilt your reputation by having non trained staff to be at the counter , representing your hotel.. this FIFIe, she/he is not an asset she/he a liability to your hotel. Read moreRecently stayed here and it was a pretty good stay! Staff was helpful and friendly when approached. There's free wifi available and while they don't provide bottled water in the rooms, they have a water station down the hall of each floor. Convenient and easy to use 👍 The hotel is a short walk from the Aman Central mall. Food is easy to find in the area with lots of restaurants/hawkers/etc, though do check their opening times! A lot of them close early or open late. At the time of my visit, there are also 3 restaurants in the same building. While the streets aren't very pedestrian-friendly, a lot of places are just minutes away on foot from the hotel.
We stayed in the Premier room (2 beds). It has good natural lighting from the window which is a big plus! The room was clean, has all the basic amenities. Space-wise, it's not cramped but it might help if you're really familiar/close with your roommate. The power sockets are across the room, near the TV which isn't ideal but there's enough of them 😃
The hotel is mostly quiet but soundproofing is on the weaker side. Noise from the corridor and the occasional wakeup alarms from the neighbouring room can be heard. I hope we weren't too noisy during our stay, we also had our own alarms 😂🙏 The "open closet" is a pretty good space-saving concept but there are some unremovable hangers behind the mirror (or at least I never figured out how to get them out 😅)
There's a basement parking with fees waived for guests. The elevator does not reach the basement though so you may want to drop off your bags at the lobby before...
