the FIRST ever and LONGEST standing Japanese restaurant in AS over the years bracing thru the pandemic located in the historical old CBD of AS where early shoplots congregated their businesses Menu items are fairly substantial, u can taste the freshness of the food served and that every meal was prepared order by order, the wait was well worth it. Ambience was the same as when it first started, taking us back in time to when we first started out in the job market years back, nostalgic! And this time they've definitely improved their meals. Bento / Set Meal was great! our meals were served piping hot! Chicken katsu was battered well and fried to perfection with the meat inside still moist. Chicken bam bam was also a thumbs up albeit a tad bit oily but still worth a try! Green tea ( not refillable sadly), but cost only RM 1.00, overall price is friendly even for AS folk. From the menu, it seems they are pork / alcohol free. Waiters took our order shortly after seated and are polite, kudos. Meanwhile cutlery given are disposable type, but it doesn't bother us given the pandemic Parking spots aplenty and no problem esp after office hours. We'll definitely revisit!
suggestion: playing relaxing music / Japanese tunes would definitely up the vibe...
Read more4 years ago, I gave this restaurant 5 stars, right now, the food is still very good (5 stars for the food as not many Japanese restaurant serve beef as good as this restaurant).
But the waitress attitude is real bad (used to be good), lying to customer while taking orders, when verify with her boss, she twisted what she said and blame me and saying that I was lying to her boss.. looks like she didn't expect me to counter check what she said with her boss.
Besides that, we have 6 ppl coming and they only have 1x 4ppl table and 1x 2ppl table side by side. When we ask for combined these two tables, the boss and waitress insisted that we have to sit on separate tables as But they allow us to combine bills for both table?? I wonder what is the logic behind.
Overall, the food is still good, it just that you need to turn on the voice recorder in your phone while making order to avoid any dispute later with the waitresses here.
I know if I rate this restaurant 5 stars, you sure will not read my comment, hence I will rate it 1 star instead...
Trust me, the food is good. The waitress is very polite too as long as there is no...
Read moreFew years ago everything was good to this restaurant.. When I enter again to this restaurant I experience bad service from the waitress. Food was not that bad, and I like the vibe of the restaurant. However I'm super pissed off by the waitress's service.
We were told to get the baby chair by ourselves. The baby chair is made by wood and is quite heavy.. The waitress told us that the baby chair was over there and we could get the baby chair ourselves. My parents are quite old, and I myself is a preggos. Plus we pay for service charge as well. Shouldn't at least the young waiter who stood there to help out a bit?
The next thing that really pissed me off was, the same waitress while serving our food asked us, whether the baby food got daging (which means pork) or not.. I feel super offended as we know the restaurant is halal and we respect this. Plus the baby food is made from cereal. I'm not sure why this is a concern to her as we use our own utensils as well.
Please educate ur waitress well to serve the customer with good service.. This is definitely ruin our mood when having...
