Hotel ASRC — Hotel in Kedah

I'm quite familiar with this hotel bc I've stayed here long time ago when I was a kid haha. Me and my family really enjoyed our stay here last week during school holidays. The receptionist was friendly, the room for 3 of us quite spacious ! All switches, the air conditioner and the shower heater were well-functioned. The beds were comfortable too ! Only the tv channels were limited and some had no sound. Besides, other items were well-prepared such as mineral drinks, body soap and tissues. I know these things are basic but I've been to various hotels and not all of them really prepared those for us. There were water filter and iron available outside the room. The most important matter is the toilet and the shower were NEAT AND CLEAN ! It was spacious too ! Parking also available but limited. There are a few restaurants nearby. HOWEVER, the room I stayed was not really secure bc the windows' lock were broken. I really wish they fix that for customer's safety. Overall, this is a perfect hotel for families and the price is affordable too !

Edited: it's inconvenience for the disabled(OKU) and elderly as the hotel doesn't have elevator....

3days 2nights I just paid RM213 for double bed, spacious room, extra comfy pillow and a view of Alor Setar Tower. The aircond works well and lots of TV channels available. They have 24hrs convenience store. Desk can be turned into an iron boars albeit no iron coat on it so had to bring my own kain pelikat. The wifi works well all day all night. Keep up these facilities, please. NOW, in my second stay on 21-24 April, they charged me a bit higher due to internet glitch. They were persistent to charge it higher so I had to yield coz the wifi and tv channels are excellent for me. However, they were complied to give me extra pillow and towel at no cost. Anyway, I got the same new block room 216 (previously 215). The toilet piping system was bad I had to wait almost 2 minute to let the shower water residuals to subside. On my 11th June stay, I opted for old room. Lower price but SAME SERVICE AND QUALITY ALTHOUGH THE WIFI IS A BIT WEAK. On the 16th to 18th stay, the wifi connection is still BAD even after inserting the password voucher. Perhaps high volume guests. Nevertheless, Hotel ASRC is still my number one...

Was impressed with this place called Hotel Alor Setar Recreation Club. The rooms in the new wing are all with floor tiles. The room spacious with basic amenities were well kept. When traveling most people look for a clean room with good bed, quiet and cold air-conditioning, hot shower and a fast refilling flushing system. If all this available for a non rated hotel it's considered luxurious. The receptionist were pleasant, smiling and able to answer all our queries. One housekeeping staff in particular, Neelaveni, can be rated as an outstanding staff for assistance rendered. These are the people who give the star rating it's true meaning. It beats the branded hotel with fancy named facilities, pricy menu, over rated rates, handled by pucker faceqd staff and forever...
