The hotel is located next to the largest mall in Kedah. It has that new car feeling and beautiful public spaces. However, looks can be deceiving. My deluxe room was smaller than one of my closets back home and it was windowless. The shower and toilet are located in a shared space within a foot of each other. Water ends up everywhere. We had no hot water even though we turned the wall mounted hot water warmer on. There was a power failure at the hotel for a few hours on the second day of our stay that did not seem to affect other properties in the area. But it affected the hotel's wifi for several hours. I lost one of the plastic room key cards. If it was a chain hotel, they'd program a new one on the spot. Not at Frazel. They charged me 50 Ringitt at checkout. Our room was not cleaned on the second day of our stay. When I asked the front desk, they told me that the staff had gone home for the day and that I should have hung a "clean my room tag" on the outside door know -- which they failed to provide in that room. The cleaner knocked on my door the next day with a tag. Breakfast was in a lovely room on the main floor but not worth getting up for.
