I had lunch at Sushi King Aman Central. When I first arrived at the restaurant, I waited for 10 minutes without being acknowledged by any staff. My friend and I stood there for quite a while, and the two employees at the counter completely ignored us and made no effort to assist. Eventually, one staff member who was busy attending to other customers noticed us waiting and gestured for us to wait. After finishing with the other customers, he came over to arrange a table for us.
After we were seated, everything seemed fine — until I took a bite of the Double Egg Nigiri I ordered and realized the shredded egg on top had gone bad! The same thing happened with the shredded egg on my friend’s inari. We tried to get the attention of the staff, but again, we were ignored for a long time. Some staff even saw us waving and chose to ignore us. When we finally managed to speak to one of the employees and informed her about the spoiled egg, her solution was to replace it with a new one… and that was it. No further apology or explanation.
That first serving of shredded egg must have been from the previous day — it was clearly spoiled, with a sour and foul taste. Yet it was still served to customers. Is this how irresponsible the F&B industry has become? I honestly wasn’t planning to complain, but after eating there yesterday, I’ve had diarrhea since last night and it hasn’t stopped until now!!
In summary: Even though the place has a new setting, the service is poor!!!! very bad!!!. The food is terrible, and serving spoiled, unfit food is unacceptable. This never happened at their previous outlet. Very...
Read moreToday I visited your sushi restaurant at Aman Central Mall, Alor Setar, and had a very disappointing experience.
The service was extremely poor—no staff were visible at the front, and they seemed to be hiding in the kitchen. The kitchen staff were slow, unmotivated, and not wearing masks properly, some even pulling them down. I also saw staff playing on their phones at the dining tables.
Food was severely delayed. I ordered basic sushi and a handroll, but after 30 minutes, nothing was served. There were only about 10 guests across 4 tables, yet dishes were left sitting on the conveyor belt for 10 minutes before reaching customers—resulting in spoiled food.
The handroll I received had clearly gone bad and tasted terrible. Other sushi pieces were also of very low quality compared to other branches.
I felt disrespected by the staff attitude and poor food quality—while still being charged a 10% service fee. I strongly do not recommend...
Read moreFood's great. Service wise - not entirely great. But if there is anything I can do to keep the busser from banging the dishes into the tray, please let me know what it is. When the party behind me vacates, and the busser comes over and immediately starts slamming the crockery into a plastic tub with as much force as possible. It hurts my ears, it hurts my head. For heaven's sake, we were still in the middle of our meal. Not only does it really make a lot of noise, which aggravates me, it has to be hard on the dishes. Are they just exercising their rage? Plus, usually when i dine in at SK, the staff would greet, asked how many guests there are in my party, then walk us to the seat. As it's stated at nearly every SK outlet..'Please wait to be seated'. Two staffs were chatting away inside. We walked over to them instead. From that moment, i would've guessed it won't be a...
