This place doesn’t deserve even 1 star, but unfortunately you can’t give less here. The food is not good. 2. Place is not hygienic. 3. It’s run by a double-faced manager. Our group of 10 people went to have dinner there after we arrived to Langkawi. The place was almost empty, except 2 other tables. Not joking, the first item in the order, which is appetiser, came after 1 hour and 10 min(!). When we asked why does it take so long to prepare the food, the manager who seemed super nice and very talkative at the beginning, told us to have some respect and wait more (cause there are 6 more customers at those 2 other tables!). So, while waiting, there was enough time to look around: small and not very hygienic open kitchen, where two cooks microwave food; most of the place is basically a gift shop with old, pricey and covered in dust items and the cherry on top - disgusting fungus spread all over the ceiling and vents that are helping to move those spores around, including the food we were about to eat. The tiny bathroom is hidden at the back with no toilet paper and reminded more of the abandoned closet than a bathroom) As we arrived late evening and waited too long, there was no time to look for other place, so we decided to give it a try: cause how could you go wrong with Turkish food? Oh, this place managed - shakshuka was extremely oily and full of spices that don’t belong in the dish, kebab as well, so salty and over spiced, that you couldn’t even taste the meat, for the bread we got microwaved tortillas instead of fresh Turkish bread and of course they did not have freshly squeezed juices, cause I assume the people who run the place couldn’t find any fruits on the island, but what they could do is to serve wines and beers under the counter to customers at the next table. So, the food was not only bad, but very over priced- we paid around 700RM for 4 shakshukas, 4 shavermas, 2 kebabs and an appetiser. If you know how the real Turkish dishes taste like, or any good food, avoid this place...

The restaurant boasts a lovely ambiance, especially on its beautifully designed terrace, which features soft, inviting lights and comfortable seating areas. While the terrace is visually appealing, I would recommend sitting indoors, particularly in the evening, as mosquitoes can be quite bothersome if you opt to dine outside at night.

The overall vibe of the restaurant is distinctly Turkish, offering an old-world, oriental charm that adds to the uniqueness of the experience. However, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. We ordered a cheese pie (gözleme) and shawarma, but unfortunately, both dishes were somewhat underwhelming. The gözleme seemed to be made from pre-prepared tortilla bread rather than fresh dough, and the shawarma lacked the rich, familiar flavors typically associated with the dish, which was disappointing.

That being said, the Turkish coffee was outstanding, brewed to perfection and served in traditional style, which added a pleasant touch to the meal.

Overall, I would describe our experience as “okay.” While the food wasn’t impressive, the restaurant does offer a good variety on its menu, and with a bit of refinement, I believe it has the potential to improve and grow into something special. There is also a small shop inside the restaurant that sells various products, adding a unique element to the...

Tourist Prices (Prices too High) We ordered 1 Mix Platter which the owner said will be enough for 2-3 Persons but it was enough for 1 person with difficulty and it cost 190 Ringitt + 10% Service Charge. Restaurant was near closing time so even all the items listed in the mix platter were not served. We also ordered 2 Shawarmas out of which 1 was ordered without salad, but both our shawarmas were with salad. There was absolutely very less quantity of chicken in the shawarmas and it felt like salad and vegetable shawarma instead of chicken shawarma 10% Service Charges were not written on the menu anywhere. In the end our total bill of 6 persons was 423 Ringitt and even after spending this huge amount, all of us had to eat Maggi Noodles after going to our hotel room. The quantity is very very less compared to the extremely high price. Please go there at...

Well, this was super disappointing, although I guess I should've taken the hint from some more recent reviews. The place seems to have gone downhill as of lately, based on older reviews, as the food they serve can mostly be considered snacks at best. They no longer serve any kind of Turisk bread, instead they rely on ready made Mexican tortillas, which is not at all what you expect to get when eating Turkish food. Even their so called Lamachun is just some sauce and mince spread on a tortilla. The flavours were ok, but this is not at all what we expected based on all the positive reviews. Prices are also very high, considering how little you can eat for in Langkawi.

This place is a hidden gem, one of the better meals I've had in Langkawi. Food is authentic and the chef/owners are genuine and you know it's good knowing they serve their food with pride. I've always avoided places in the tourist stretch but this restaurant is conveniently located there and it will surprise you. Lamb kofte was light yet flavourful. Personally don't like overly sweet desserts, so highly recommended the Kunafe and their Turkish coffee to go with. For the quality, service and ambience you get, prices are fairly reasonable. Be sure to pop by for a bite it's worth the visit.
