First visit since their move—and wow, what a glow-up! The new location is a major upgrade in every way: from the warm, welcoming ambience to the stylish aesthetics and impeccable cleanliness.
This place is truly a hidden gem serving unique fusion Syrian dishes, and the meat items? Absolutely to die for!
It’s run by four Syrian brothers who’ve been in the business for over eight years. Now led by Chef Amr, whose professional culinary expertise has taken the menu to the next level—you can genuinely taste the passion and refinement in every bite.
The brothers here work incredibly hard and take real pride in looking after both their guests and their team. The service is warm, attentive, and refreshingly genuine—none of that stiff, robotic stuff. You feel welcomed like family.
Some comments below have mentioned the presence of insects, but hey—it’s a tropical island! Rain brings bugs, and that’s just part of nature. It’s absolutely not a reflection of cleanliness (which is top-notch btw). If you’d rather not deal with the critters, there’s plenty of comfortable indoor seating to enjoy your meal in peace. Read moreAn overall rating of 4.6 stars explains it all, and I’m going to further perfect this beautiful restaurant.
It offers indoor and outdoor dining, with beautiful lightings in both settings. Service was both pleasant and fast. Food and drinks were served pretty quickly, and we were delighted by the very favourable dishes.
Satays were well marinated and roasted. Chicken was roasted to perfection yet preserved the juiciness in it. Lamb was tender and very tasty. Prawns were very fresh, and we can taste the aromatic BBQ flavour in it. Rice was so delicious with spice that we finished them in no time, not forgetting the sauce that complimented the savoury to perfection! The lychee watermelon drink was to die for, especially in a hot weather island of Langkawi. Even the fries were made to come back for more, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, hot fried. Perfect! Yummy!
Definitely a 5-star from my perspective. Well done and keep it up! Will definitely go again the next time we are...
Read moreI’ve been dining at their restaurant since the early days when they were still on the main street. Now, they’ve relocated just across the road, tucked inside Green Village Resort in Pantai Tengah — and I must say, I’m genuinely impressed by the transformation.
The upgraded space, the ambience, and most notably, the food — wow. Young Chef Amar has truly taken the baton from his older brothers and elevated the experience to a whole new level. The plating and presentation now match the premium price tag, and it’s clear a lot of heart and skill go into every dish.
If KL has Leen’s for standout Syrian and Middle Eastern cuisine, then Langkawi has Arang — a place islanders can be proud of. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a special dinner on the island, especially if you’re craving BBQ and charcoal-grilled...
