Membawang Corner — Restaurant in Langkawi Island

We were quite excited to try this place, and sadly found the vegan dinner options to be super salty and oily, at least for us (we didn’t realize we were ordering deep fried foods, which admittedly we just do not generally enjoy!). So why the five star rating? Well, the place itself was clean and beautiful, and when we initially asked if we could sit inside due to the loud music the staff said no, that indoor seating was only for hotel guests. We totally understood and didn’t mention it again. But, to their immense credit, the staff realized how much the loud live music was bothering my young son (he wasn’t making a fuss, just making himself small in his chair and covering his ears), the woman waiting on our table returned later and told us we could go inside. Wow! And then she even closed the door directly behind us to further mute the noise. I cannot tell you how much that meant to us. It took us from what would probably have been a terrible dinner (food was too oily, etc) to an enjoyable family time with an “oops” meal. No big deal. Thank you, thank you, to the staff for discreetly making a kind and respectful exception for our sensitive kindergartener. Waited for 45 mins without any food served while there was only a table before us. Asked for the waiting time to be served and being treated rudely by the staffs. Lastly, we cancelled the order which didn't even prepared. Staffs replied with ' go eat McDonald's if you want to be fast' before leaving. Lack of professionalism, poor customer service & poor communication.

P/S: Thank you for your detailed explanation & your side of views. Thank you for stalking my account as well!!. Side note: we are being informed the waiting time before walk in at another restaurant (willing to wait for an hour). Let's just don't take this as comparison.

My 2 cents to others: TRY IT WITH YOUR OWN...

Excellent brunch, but terrible coffee.

I ate here twice for brunch and will be back for more. There are very few good brunch places in Pantai Tengah, but this is one of them.

All the food we had was very good, but the coffee was terrible. I had a mocha and my friend had a latte, and both were very bad.

I came back the next day and had another great brunch, but this time I ordered the orange juice which was very good and tasted fresh.

The atmosphere is clean with nice tables and decor. The bathrooms are also good. They accept credit cards. Nice staff, too.

Bottom line: a great place for brunch, but definitely don't order the coffee! If this place invested in a good espresso machine and hired a quality barista, it...
