The chicken rice is fantastic! Very tasty. However, I wish the owner would pay more attention to hygiene in both the front and back of the cafe. It is time for some renovations, not to disregard the historic value of the location, but to make everything more efficient, particularly in terms of hygiene. This is the age of social media; please take proactive action before it goes viral for all the negative reasons that will permanently close the shop. There were complaints about dirty utensils and massive rats lingering around. Where are you, Mr. Owner? I really like this shop and hope that it will change...

Best chicken rice in my books 👍🏼 they have fried, steamed and roasted chicken - all of which are great. The fried chicken is crispy and juicy, while the steamed and roasted chicken are tender even though I got breast meat. The rice is fragrant and not too oily. The chilli is awesome and one of its kind! They have other side dishes to pair with the meal to make it more complete - fried or hardboiled eggs, long beans, soya sauce tofu. There’s always long queues and they constantly have regular returning customers because they’re good! I get this every time I come...

One of the nicer chicken rice shops in town. And affordable as well. (Price is during december 2024) Shop is not big, so expect a crowd during meal times / weekends. I went during weekend 11am and sunday morning ~10am. Difficult to find a seat during weekend, but no issues getting a table on weekdays. Everything is done well in good portion.
