Midoree Matcha — Restaurant in Klang Municipal Council

We went there on public holiday for lunch. It was packed. Not a long wait for a table. We had a unagi rice soup with watermelon matcha and mixed ice cream croissant paired with adzuki matcha tart.

Unagi rice soup was very filling. Portion is just nice. They are very generous with the ingredients in the bowl of rice. The fragrance of the seaweed, white sesame, japanese pearl rice, it's definitely a must try.

Watermelon matcha. You can taste both watermelon and matcha, very well balanced drink. None of the ingredients override the other.

Mixed ice cream croissant. Hojicha with matcha ice cream wrapped inside a fresh and flaky croissant. Hojicha is a bit sweeter than matcha. Matcha ice cream, the matcha taste comes in later. It's yummy. The downside is adzuki in this dessert has no taste, neither taste adzuki nor sweet. And adzuki could have been more meshy and soft.

Matcha adzuki cream cheese tart is alright. Can intensify matcha taste a bit more. Adzuki can be sweeter.

Ambience is good. A very warm and "wow" interior for cafe in klang. Looking forward to...

Located on top of Mahogani Roastery Coffee. From the entrance to the stairs and inside the cafe the ambient is cosy and well decorated with zen and Japanese vibe. Staff service have to improve as upon reach was told by staff full and without further arrange us to have a seat while waiting and we having baby with us. Fortunately there’s still a staff that quite helpful on arranging and recommending the food and drinks. Food and drink is really good without doubt. Had their Salmon Ochazuke, Curry Tori Onigri and Jasmine Matcha. Salmon Ochazuke which their best seller and that bowl is flavourful with there’s different type of taste combine together which is quite unique. The Japanese curry which is thick and fried pork is crispy though size is bit small but goes well with their onigri and large pieces of omelette egg. Jasmine matcha have some jasmine aroma on top of their matcha and the drinks have some sweet taste suitable for those doesn’t like the bitter taste. When I heard there's a new and first matcha place in Klang, I was ecstatic. I'm a matcha fanatic and this was up to par. I've tried 90% of their desserts and some drinks already, I almost went every week a few months ago haha.

But yes, if you're a matcha fan and are not into the cheap colorless bitter fresh-gone matcha, you have to come here. They serve ceremonial grade matcha that comes with a piece of Earl grey shortbread biscuit as well as a variety of fun mixes which includes watermelon matcha. They serve chazuke for lunch and there are only 3 options which are salmon, unagi and mushroom. I received a trial roll cake once from the kind boss lady and my friends and I loved it so much! A very chill place to hang out and do work, I hope it won't be too crowded in the future otherwise they should consider...
