I will rate this restaurant under expectation. First of all, I make reservation with the restaurant because I wanted to sit indoor rather than outdoor. Unfortunately the ventilation system was faulty. We have to sit outside. Secondly the food tastes pretty awful. Look at the fried salmon skin. It wasn't crispy at all when served. I requested to fry again but end up the same. None of the dishes impressed at all. Buffet menu is becoming less variety for customer but at the same time price increased. For the sizzling seafood, please try to study again why need to apply flour when you grill it instead of deep fried. It doesn't attract the appetite at all. Thirdly, why the restaurant choose to use ice rock for sashimi? First time I saw ice rock being used and the sashimi platter should have oyster as one of the 7 kind sashimi. It is totally different with the menu. Also, why the wasabi doesn't taste spicy at all? I would suggest the restaurant reconsider the quality of wasabi because I taste nothing from it. Lastly, please use a timer to control Saba fish cooking but is totally overcooked when served. The meat is so hard to chew. With such experience I won't return to this restaurant anymore because the quality is becoming worse. Cost control and price increase are definitely important to maintain the business and profitability of the restaurant. But if the food quality is dropping from time to time, how long do you think the business can sustain? I give two stars because at least the beer wasn't diluted and the food is served while hot.

Dining Environment - 4/5 Customer Service - 3/5 Food Quality - 4/5 Food Taste - 4/5 Price Value - 5/5 Yesterday I revisited again the place for 3rd time dining with my friend... Overall the 2nd and 3rd time dining experience is much better, without the whole the bunch of noisy group people. And additional the staff services is much better and food taste hv slightly improved. Will continue come back again if the restaurant keep maintain this quality service level. Visited on 25-Jul-2019 ......................................... Dining Environment - 1/5 Customer Service - 2/5 Food Quality - 3/5 Food Taste - 3/5 Price Value - 4/5 The food is ok, the cutting, potions, cooked are well prepared..however the servers lack of customer service skills, slow and if during peak hours surely the restaurant will not enough manpower to attend every customer. During my dinner, there was a another group customer make big noise which very disturbing to many people dining experience, yet the restaurant manager/supervisor did not take any action even I already told her, their are too noisy. Food is not bad, but the dining experience is very very disappointed. NOT RECOMMENDED, DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER. Visited on:- 3-Jan-2019

Ordered the lunch menu for 21.90 RM ++. You can choose from what the menu calls '2 main dishes' plus you get rice and soup plus an entrée (which is a bowl of raw beans that Japanese restaurants seem to be so fond of these days). I ordered a salmon dish and gyoza. When the dishes came I thought they were kidding. The 3 pieces of gyoza were tiny and dry and could not be called an appetizer let alone a 'main dish'. The salmon was so small I thought surely there should have been a second piece which must have fallen off the plate on the way to our table. I asked the waiter about it who unfortunately confirmed that this was it. To be honest the salmon was tasty but as you can see from the picture or wasn't more than 3 pieces worth of fish so I had to savour every one of them. For 2 people (be both ordering the lunch menu plus one tea for RM 2) we ended up paying RM 53.40 which is considerably more than the restaurants nearby are charging for lunch and is ridiculous for the amount of food we got. Please stop calling your options 'main dishes' and rethink the portions of your dishes. Until you do we won't be coming back. Which is a pity because we enjoyed the food.

I used to love this place. Came here when I was pregnant and again after I delivered. In both times, amazing service, great food and it was fast. Now, After a year, I decided to come with my family for my birthday... And it was LOUSY! Price have increased, menu I believe has changed to be lesser items and service was horrendous! It's gonna be a long post, but read it and decide if you wanna give this place a go.. Booked a table to be told indoors were fully booked, only outdoor seating available. So we Came early when the place was not full yet (in case it would become too stuffy outdoors when the crowd started ) and quickly filled the order chit. There was only 2 tables there but our food came so slow and 1-2 plates at a go. We filled second chit and passed it on, and after a while, noticed second sheet items were being served when the first sheet wasn't even fully served. And this was after 1.5 hours into our dinner. My brothers, father and husband were all waiting on their order but it never came! Feeling bloated from all that waiting, and stuffy they refuse to eat anymore (I felt unsatisfied because hello, this is RM 88++ /Head!! ) My kids were getting restless, it was hot, n the crowd started coming in.. I approached the staffs and they said if I ordered now, they can speed up the order (they must've mixed up our food cuz we had a few that we didn't order that came to our table) . But I guess its too late... My family were all out of mood. I was annoyed. What suppose to be a exciting (I waited so long for this), satisfying birthday dinner with my family became one of the most stressful night for me as I had to handle two angry, hungry kids, from all the slow service and watch my family being uncomfortable waiting for their food which didn't come.

Paid RM 806 for a horrible service, half eaten dinner. Not...

We went for the ala-carte buffet dinner on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was less than 50% occupied on that night. However, the food took a very long time to arrive and some items were missing or did not arrive at all. There were only 2 servers at the front to take orders, deliver food, prepare drinks, prepare packed food, clean tables and so on. They are very busy and it’s hard to get their attention.

After waited for a very long time, we checked with one of the server whether our orders were keyed in as we didn’t want to duplicate our orders. She didn’t even check and told us to wait (we have been waiting for a long time) as there is only ONE cook tonight which need to prepare sushi and sashimi as well as cook in the kitchen. This same server also served the same food twice and we told her we only order one portion and we are eating it now as you can see and she look upset about it. She got this don’t seem to care attitude. It’s like you want to eat then you wait or you can go!

Then I had to walk to the kitchen area to check with another server and true enough, our orders were not keyed-in and all the orders were somehow messed up. This server however did try to help us out and wrote down what we have ordered earlier but it also means that we had to wait all over again. All the tables on that night were complaining because of the extreme slow service. We gave up and left in the end…

Actually the food is not bad but the service is really slow and horrible. The restaurant was not even full (only few tables on a weekday night) and yet the food took forever to arrive and server is not helpful. The washroom is also old and...

went for the rm58++ per pax, cooked to order Japanese lunch buffet with freeflow Tiger beer.

While the menu wasn't terribly exciting, they've got just enough (4-6 selections of everything basic) to fill you up over 3hrs lunch period (11.30am-2.30pm) from starters, sashimi, maki, salads, grilled, skewered items, deepfried, teppan, soups, hotpots, drinks & desserts.

sashimi selections : salmon🖒, tuna🖓, butterfish🖒, seabass (its fresh, but not my fave as seabass sashimi is typically bland and mushy), cuttlefish (which they forgot to give us) & blanched tako🖒(impressed that it wasn't rubbery and actually quite enjoyably springy).

Fresh oysters are available at extra charge of rm28++ per half dozen. urm...very tasteless stuff...the brininess wasn't there at all.

had the duck salad🖒. loved the thinly sliced duck, small portion of salad & the vinegary mayo sauce.

grilled fish: we had the shishamo🖒, saba (so-so) & sanma (not that good) shioyaki.

deep fried stuff was good esp the very pretty looking deepfried tofu with lightly coated crispy pale golden brown skin.

the beef sukiyaki was almost good. the beef were tender and thinly sliced and they were quite generous with the mushrooms, shirataki konjac noodles and veggies, the big letdown was the very watery broth. pity.

icecreams: there's choc, vanilla, greentea & wasabi.

overall: there are some hits & missed but if you consider the price we pay for a bento/japanese set lunch at a mid-range japanese restaurant like rakuzen which is between Rm30-70, Aoki tei buffet is VERY good value for money if u eat a bit of everything across the range of menu + a couple of glasses...
