Bee Won Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Used to be a regular place for Korean food, the taste just alright, to my liking.

However, my last visit was a disappointing experience, most probably that would be my last visit.

Ordered bbq pork meat and as usual, they would assist to cook it at your table on the non-stick pan.

Upon looking at the condition of the pan, there were dirt or pieces of black strips. When I raised this concern to the waiter, he merely took a piece of tissue paper to “clean it”. I wasn’t too impressed with this act. Next, came the owner, and explained that it was only “coating”, and “will not cook on that side”. What I saw was the spots were seen almost all of the pan. (Picture would show this clearly). The owner somehow ignored my concerns and decided to cook regardless.

There is low sense of food hygiene or in this case none at all. I wouldn’t be able to differentiate if the meat is just burnt or it’s actually pieces of “coating”.

Had a piece or two, and left...

1 star because that is no food poison at least.

Service no good, slow response, even the boss also treat us like that. Food so so, previous I like go this restaurant is because they allow us to refill the side dish "Kimchi" with no limit restriction(but maximum I can eat only 3 small dish) , and I would like to introduce this restaurant to all my fren & family.

Today I went to this restaurant with my family, and he restricted me to refill more than 3 times, but that is the first time I call him to refill for the day, and the boss said I always request for refill, he remember me.

OKay, what he did to me has ruined my day and my family's mood, this will be the last time I visit this restaurant, thank you.

normally there will be a line to wait to be seated, staff is a bit slow to seat you, however, the table and chairs reasonably comfortable even though it looks a bit dated, food is very good, my personal favorite is the marinated pork belly bbq, lunchbox sets and the beef stew. time from staff taking your order to food reaching your table is about 10-20 minutes wait. they will provide all the smaller dishes regardless what you order, unlimited refill but staff is very slow to response to such request, price is cheap for korean food in malaysia. they also give plain drinking water for free if you don't want to order pricier drinks. owner is korean with his wife, friendly and willing to teach you how to eat korean according to korean way...
