My family and I enjoyed the signature sauce steamed fish for lunch today. This is our repeat steamed fish order from Big Tree Lin Kee.

The jade perch fish was fresh. Its meat was soft and firm texture. The signature sauce is perfect! There are the spicy-ness from the ginger, chillies; nutty salty taste from the taucu, and sweetness.

My first order was ginger steamed fish. My family and I love the ginger sauce, too.

Big Tree Lin Kee is generous with the sauce.

The steamed fish was well wrapped in the aluminium foil and plastic, then it’s kept in a big box with its sauce was packed separately.

The steamed fish was still hot and ready to eat when I received it.

Having tried the Taman Connought's Lin Kee steam fish head with high expectations, I decided to try this branch as it is nearer to my home. The first thing I noticed was the friendliness of the waitresses' service.

I went with the recommended 'cheong ching' steam fish head and a vege. The vege was large for its price, but was mediocre in taste. As for the steam fish, the fish head was fresh (not the freshest but is better than many others), and the first few bite of the fish was good and appetizing. But, the satisfaction level subsided fairly quickly after that.

What I am extremely disappointed is the size of the fish head, considering the fact after trying the various steam fish head restaurants in KL, the fish head was considerably small. It is to extend I had to buy Pao from nearby stalls to eat to make myself fuller.

In short, I probably will go back to the Taman Connought restaurant or the one in Ampang for a better and fuller taste...
