CWZJ Cuisine — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Had high hopes for this place, first time visit. Felt authentic good food vibes when entering.

Some disappointing results observed.

Lets start with the most expensive dish , the Fish. I do appreciate the chef efforts to serve it boneless. But as it turned out, each piece of fish had bones in it and they were small, so you have to pull it out with your fingers. The one cutting the fish obviously didn't do a good job. Would not order.

Pork cheeks was okay, the chili sauce pair was also okay.

The grilled lamb was flavourful but a bit small portion for RM 68. Should have ordered something else.

We had the Coconut Kampung Chicken Soup for RM 88. I quite enjoy this. Could taste the coconut sweets in the soup.

The taufoo. Mmmmm nothing great. Served with baby scallops on top. Starchy yellow sauce. Very normal food.

The french bean with branches had potentials. Lacking a bit of crisp I guess. Dragon I does a good version, lack the beancurds which I liked.

Give me a 'likey', if...

Visited twice in Nov for crabs. Good quality crabs and possible one of the better ones in restaurant dining. Century egg is very good too!

Just got to be careful and know your crabs. They brought me a male when I ordered female... the price for female is a lot more expensive for the same weight lol.

Any other food we had were just bad... Fried noodles, fried pork, either bland or burnt.. Veggie, super tiny portion.

So I've gathered, the simple food that doesn't require much cooking (eg steaming or no cooking involved) are good... Anything involves the wok came horrible.

Service was alright, not particularly good or whatsoever... They were rude on my first visit but second visit was okay. The only reason is probably language barrier or these people just aren't trained properly like running a taichow.

Other than the crabs I can't find a...

We have been a regular customer since the restaurant open years ago. We used to dine-in almost every fortnight. However, last year something unhappy happened with their staff when we wanted to dine-in, therefore we have never been back for about almost 8 months.

Today 08/08/15, we went for dinner, one of the dish we ordered has big plastic inside, we told the staff and she took away the dish and said will inform the owner or lady boss. When we ask for bill, the dish that has the plastic in it was still being charged (this doesn't matter since we had some of the dish), but the worst part is no apologise from the owner/lady boss. Imagine, if your children accidentally ate the plastic and got stuck in throat, what would happen.

Totally disappointed with their service, is no longer like when the restaurant...
