This place has huge number of selections (probably around 30 stalls) especially at night as its 2 shop lots and there's also 1st floor Air Conditioned seatings above the ground floor as well. A lot of these stalls may sell whole day.
Atmosphere: 4🌟 There's inside and outside seats on the ground floor. Level 1 is air conditioned but it's extremely noisy.
Morning Stalls
Food: Prawn / Lam Mee 3🌟 Taste is so so. Broth flavour not deep enough for me, there are better options.
Night Stalls
Food: Beef Noodle 3.5🌟 The broth is ok, very soy saucy and seems a bit different. Beef meat is well cooked as it's quite tender and juicy however the tendon is way too soft. Priced at Rm 15.
Food: Petai Fried Rice 3.25🌟 Food: Nasi Lemak Special 3.25🌟 Food: Char Kuey Teow 3🌟 Like the fried rice better. The fried chicken is crispy but the sambal is so so.
Food: Roast Chicken Wing 3.25🌟 The broth has quite a deep flavour and the ingredients are quite a lot.
Food: Stir Fried Ramen 3.25 🌟 Default it's vegetarian option and you can scale up further as required. I went with chicken and less spicy. It's not spicy so I think can go for normal. It comes with quite a lot of vegetable dice like carrots and potatoes but the chicken slices are quite tender. The sauce is a bit on the plain side. The self made ramen is not too bad, and has some texture. Priced at Rm 10.
Food: Roujia Mo 3.5 🌟 It's Chinese style bread with minced meat with other ingredients. Also went for chicken and it was less spicy. This one is definitely more tasty as it's more flavourful. Noticed that the bread is well soaked with sauces. Apparently the bread is fried to open it up before the ingredients can be stuffed inside but I don't really feel oiliness at all. Also the bread is not thick so you won't feel very doughy and it's easy to eat even for ladies. Priced at Rm 8.
Food: Radish Noodle 3.25🌟 The noodle is not the usual "gan Shui" yellow noodle, it's flat type which is very silky and smooth but soft. The broth doesn't taste like radish soup but it does come with some radish. The nice thing about it is the other ingredients that come with it that are quite different from usual ones. The fish cake slices are quite nice. The fried fish paste or stuffed bean curd is also quite interesting. The dumpling is quite huge with a lot of fillings inside. Priced at Rm 9
Food: Fermented Chicken Chop 3.75🌟 Ordered without rice and the chicken should be drumstick and thigh. It's very flavorful but the chili sauce that comes with it has almost no flavour. Priced at Rm 12. The one with rice is Rm 16 I believe.
Food: Spicy Mala Bowl (Dry) 3.75🌟 Noodles 3.25🌟, Peanuts 3🌟, Duck (sliced) 4🌟, Pork Slice 2.75🌟, Taiwan Sausage 3.5🌟, Lotus Root 3.25🌟, Veg 3.25🌟, Pork Ball (sliced) 3.75🌟, Potato (sliced) 3.25🌟, Instant noodles, not very spicy. Has peanuts, Priced at Rm 12
Food: Dumplings 3.25🌟 Quite good, can mix steam and fried ones (4 each for total of 8 pieces). Priced at Rm 10.
Drinks: "Kat Zai Shuen Mui" (Cold) Li.e with Assam drink. Priced at Arm 5.50
Drinks: Hor Ka Sai (Ice) 3.5🌟 Apparently it's from Penang. Basically a 'premium' coffee with cocoa. It tastes very sweet but also enjoyable for me at the same time. Priced at Rm 6.50
Drinks: Chinese Tea (Cold) Priced at Rm 1.50, pricier than...

The Chicken rice exudes tenderness and succulence in the chicken, with its moist texture and flavorful skin. The rice itself is as fragrant and well-cooked, having absorbed the rich chicken broth beautifully, but sometimes feels a bit too soggy. The accompanying chili sauce has a good balance of spiciness and tanginess, a crucial element for a truly satisfying plate of chicken rice.
The prawn noodles, has a rich and flavorful broth, which is usually from stock made from fresh prawns and possibly pork bones. The prawns themselves are fresh and plump. The noodles soak up the delicious broth nicely, with the generous topping of crispy shallots and pork lard adding another layer of flavor and texture.
The Lei Cha is well-balanced, with a good mix of earthy, minty, and nutty notes. The rice, topped with an array of finely chopped vegetables, tofu, and peanuts, makes for a healthy and flavorful meal. This is the other health conscious option at this cafe in addition to the Poke Bowl stall at the same kopitiam.
PS: Comfortable seating with air-conditioning...
Read moreA lot of patience needed, Pork Burger was good, the Satay was ok (sorry I won't be an accurate review on the food itself because everyone is struggling in this Covid economy. So for food, unless I suffer a stomach upset, don't expect an accurate review)
This place I believe would be very popular especially at night time as the location is unbeatable. This is the 1st time I decided to dine in.
If you look at the picture I posted and if you're a local Malaysian, you would expect it to be a typical Chinese run restaurant. But when I wanted to order a beer that's when I realised that this place is operated by Southern Thai folks. Specifically the drinks and majority of the food stalls are manned by the Southern Thai. In terms of service it's much slower than what you would expect but they guy that took my drinks order was honest because my pork burger, satay and drinks guy arrived at the same time and I ordered a Coke as well. I asked how much for the Coke and he said RM 2.50. In my confusion I gave him RM 13 in cash and he immediately told me I have over paid and returned the right change. So bottom line is slow drinks service, pretty good Pork Burger, ok Satay and slow but honest...
