DubuYo @ Sunway Velocity — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I'm a frequent Dubuyo customer in Sungei Wang as my office is there. Sundubu Beef Jigae is my comfort food at least twice a week. Also at Tropicana Gardens as it's near my house. But sunway velocity Dubuyo is the most disappointing of all. The Japchae is a sugar Japchae. Nothing taste like it, more of a dessert than a stir fry noodles. Worst is I ordered it for my mum who is a diabetic 😅 and then it didn't stop there, I ordered kiddie set meal for my 4 year old it's noodle with chicken and hotdog. The noodle again is a sugar rush candy noodle taste And the chicken smells like eggy😅😅 The waiter told me Japchae should really be so sweet 😅😅😅 The chef should try to eat at Seoul station 3 damansara mall, the stall there is run by an old Korean ajumma and ajuhssi serving authentic Korean dishes and the taste is wayyyyyy farrrrrr from the sweetest Japchae Dubuyo sunway velo served 😂😂😂 All I can say Is that after your meal with them you'll have induce diabetes 🙄 Super unhealthy and low quality ,it's not Korean at all for sure its other countries dish. They need to review their menu 😂😂😂 Sorry Dubuyo sunway velo branch but first and last. But dun worry,i'l still support Sungei Wang and Tropicana branch, I just wish the taste is standard to...

Edited - 8th Feb 2023 *Came 2nd time, had Beef Bibimbap, so full of flavour and the best part was, it was served in a dolsot bowl! The heat retained until I finished my meal keeping it warm! Japchae was a bit too sweet the sauce mixed in the glass noodle but the sesame oil in it was fragrant = still delicious. Pajeon is delicious and the Yuzu iced drink was just nice and refreshing, not too sweet. Definitely bibimbap will be on my order list.

1st time dining at the Dubuyo outlet. The food was good, we had spicy cheese tteokbokki (not so spicy thank goodness!) Mandu, Pajeon, Gimbap (love the fact that they use red rice which was healthier than white rice) and Jjajangmyeon (a bit bland and white😬....I was expecting more of the black bean sauce on my noodles). The drinks could be improved especially my favourite roasted barley tea~should be a bit kaw coz I can't taste the roasted barley tea... The service by the staff was excellent! So friendly and helpful and fast in doing everything even though it was nearing lunchtime and getting busy! Will visit this outlet again to try out other dishes on...

Summary:- Good for small-medium eater, honey garlic Bulgogi Chicken was tasty but on the salty side. Pretty much a casual place

Upon ordering, I was impressed that our drinks came speedily. Selected the Korean Goji lunch set - honey garlic bulgogi chicken, and as part of the set, the three (3) side dishes, clear soup and the drink (you may refer to the attached picture for the list of drinks).

The fried egg looks appetizing when the main course was served. First few bites of the chicken was great but after a while I noticed that it's on the salty side.

Tables for two are a bit closed to each other, with other customer knocking against me to get to their place.

The portion of the side dishes can be improved; kimchi was pretty decent.

For the price of the set lunch paid.. there was still room for the tummy for more food. My lunch friend commented the same.
