First time posting a negative review on google. Ate there once. Service was horrible. Always wanted to give them a second chance.
Visited the restaurant with very little hope today. True enough, reached there at 1.30pm on a Sunday. There were 5 to 6 uncleaned table, 3 to 4 empty tables. 2 floor service waiters and 1 manager. 4 person at food prep. The floor service team was STRUGGLING.
We stood there at the entrance, waiting to be told whether if there's a space or whether we should be waiting at all. NOBODY came to us. The queue piled up. I then grabbed the manager's attention with the intention to tell her she should be letting the customers who are lining up to know whether if there's any tables or if we should be waiting or if they are too busy or at least manage expectation.
Manager says: I'm cleaning tables. I need to clean the tables right? Then moving on to tell the other super busy waiter: please tell all those lining up that if they can't wait, please don't eat here. LOL.............. PS. The other waiter obviously didn't say that word for word as probably everyone else would have deemed the manager's response to be rude.
Anyway, this short of staff/lack of experience scenario is a norm for this branch of sushi zanmai. The franchise owner should look into the matter as it is clearly affecting the...
Read moreSo we are a family of 4 + 1 coming for dinner. There's a few tables (4 seaters) available and the waitress refuse to serve us in as they counted us as 5. Okay fair enough. We requested to add on a chair on the 4 seaters so we could fit 5. They said it's dangerous as waiter will pass by and might get us injured 😄 sounded so sweet right. We decided not to wait anymore and just go with the 4 seater table. We found out there's a table at the corner is available and ask the waitress if we could take the table and add on a chair. The waitress then move us there..... Without adding on a chair 😄😄😄😄 she said she move us there coz we wanted to not because she can add on a chair for us.... 😄😄😄😄 Well done honey. That's when I spotted there's 2 units of 6 seaters taken by a couple and the other taken by 1 single person!!! I asked her why they can take such a huge space and she said because CUSTOMER REQUESTED!!! OKAY THAT'S WHEN I GET IT THAT I AM NOT A CUSTOMER IN HER EYES! I requested just one more chair without any disruption to the circulation (as the table was all the way to the end) AND I GOT REJECTED!!!!! WELL DONE FOR THE DOUBLE STANDARD.

After 5 min the food still haven’t served, then we ask again and they still told us the same( the food will served to you after 5 min), after 5 min still haven’t served yet, even the sushi also haven’t come yet, then ok we cancel it, we go another place to eat. After few months, we came to here again, and the problem still the same!!!!!! Even though a tamago sushi also need to wait 30 min, wasting our time only.
