It was my first time visiting this coffee house, despite living nearby for the past three years. Situated at the very end corner of some old shop houses on a lonely road in Taman Midah, one will be surprised what's awaiting inside. A very cosy yet classy and comfortable cafe with both high chairs seatings and a few dining seating, filled with aroma of coffee. They do sell some pastries near the entrance as well. It was lunch and I ordered their Steak It. It's a sizzling steak that comes with minced cauliflower which looks like rice together with some salads. The meat is huge portion, medium rare cooked to my liking and was simmered with a small cup of melted butter on the table. Really, really nice. The cauliflower taste great and very unique too. The avocado banana which I ordered is tasty and the other dished and drinks ordered by my family members, are served beautifully and has good reviews from them as well.

The food portions were worthy of the price. Small eaters would need to share. Mushroom soup was creamy and cleverly complimented with tempura mushrooms and a piece of bread. The asian noodles with seafood was hearty. The noodles came were cold and lumpy, but able to loosen with the warm, clear, garlicky soup that came together. Mussels and prawns were fresh, and the crispy seaweed and jammy egg really showcased the fusion concept of the menu. The Canto-noodles with fried chicken thighs were a HUGE portion! But the miso-sauce threw off our taste buds that were more familiar with original Cantonese fried. Cappuccino had a nice strong flavor that came with a piece of butter cookie. Looking forward to try their cold brew next. Service was commendable as staff were attentive, quick and friendly 👏👍

Visited Estate Coffee House recently and was pleasantly surprised by the food. We didn’t come for the coffee this time and instead ordered one Thai dish and one Japanese dish. Both weren’t super traditional, but the flavors were solid and everything was really well cooked and nicely presented. The Thai-inspired dish had a good balance of seasoning and the Japanese one felt fresh and comforting. Overall, it felt like a creative take on both cuisines. The space itself is modern and quiet with a cozy atmosphere that makes it a nice place to relax or catch up with friends. The staff were friendly and the service was smooth. We’d definitely come back to try more items on the menu. Maybe next time we’ll check out the coffee

What was supposed to be an enjoyable first time dining experience for my family and myself ended in disappointment and a terrible case of the runs for all of us.

Our arrival at the coffeehouse was a hopeful one as I saw that parking was practically nonexistent so I thought to myself the food must be well worth the wait. After shuffling along through the crowded interior we finally got to our table right by the wall in the farthest corner of the restaurant. Whilst a little cramped for comfort I thought that was the end of it… Boy was I mistaken.

After glancing through the menu and deciding on our orders we were greeted with our first problem of our dining experience the attentiveness of the waiters in question as they seemed to have no issue serving tables nearer to us but the passed us a number of times before they finally took notice of us. Amongst the six of us we ordered 2 portions of mushroom soup, a chimichurri pasta, the nasi lemak, the burger and the grilled cheese sandwich for our food alongside a pot of earl grey,a flat white and a berry smoothie to wash it down.

Whilst we waited for our food we were visited by a very persistent fly who seemed to be just as excited to eat here if not more than we were. It also didn’t help that the bug lamp the restaurant used was right behind us which made for very narrow seating and the sight of dead flies is enough to put anyone of their appetite.

Our drinks arrived in a very timely fashion which was a slightly redeeming factor, but we were in for a shock as our main courses arrived well before the mushroom soup starters. This was perplexing as it was nearly an hour into our brunch and there was absolutely no sign of it and despite our repeated mentions of it to the staff in question we merely got these classic responses “Just let me Check” , ”Another 15 minutes ya”, ”I’m sorry its coming”.

The so called “15 minutes” wait turned into a near hour long wait with no sign of the soup in sight. The main courses that had arrived did not do much justice either as the duck meat served with the chimichurri pasta was stale, The cheese in the grilled cheese sandwich had an aftertaste and the ham that came with it was of a very poor cut. We finally had enough and just went to settle our bill and leave and I must give this restaurant credit it manages to shock you even upon exit. We had discovered that there had been close to no attempt made for the two portions of soup whatsoever and the attendant had the nerve to ask us to wait “20 more minutes”.

This restaurants misfortune followed us home and caused all my family members and myself to have a terrible case of the runs for most of the day and the following day. If you wish to enjoy a dining experience where you are ignored, visited by flies, served stale food, and then squat over a toilet for hours then the Estate Coffeehouse is for you.

Neither myself nor my family will ever step foot in this establishment again unless we want to enjoy a...

So I braved the morning traffic just to get to Taman Midah from Petaling Jaya. My mission - Estate Coffeehouse!

Located deep inside this old residential area, I finally arrived at their doorstep of this corner lot, industrial-looking building with exposed bricks, steel beam and ceiling-high glasses cafe. Very modern looking compared to the rest all of the shops along the same stretch.

When I started to snap pictures then I only realised that there are actually 3 entities in this premise - Estate Coffee House, Bakehouse and (yes!) BEER Factory. I guess that the latter will only start later in the afternoon. Various pastries and cakes are available for dine-in or takeaway, but for me I wanted to try their breakfast menu.

◾We ordered the sole MC Big Brekkie - German chicken bratwurst, poached eggs, hash brown, smoked duck, caramelised banana, avocado, sauteed mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, mesclun salad, buttered sourdough with creamy potato and pesto mayo dips. Now this platter was good especially the tender smoked duck breast, hash brown and poached eggs. Chicken bratwurst & ham on the other hand, tasted generic. This is something that cost RM36.90 - mind you. ◾Coffee - for the price that I paid (almost the same with my favourite cafe), i must admit that I was a bit disappointed when I took my first sip. In fairness, it was not bad but a tad diluted - I tasted better.. perhaps better quality beans or double the shot.

Just opened its door officially, it's understandable that everything will take time to fine tune and improve - service was rather slow and disorganised at the moment. I sincerely hope that they get everything right in the near future especially in their food, coffee and...

Food was good but had to wait for more than an hour for the food to be served on Friday afternoon that wasn’t really busy. Ordered pastries to fill up our hunger, and finished the drinks before the food arrived. After 1 hour of waiting, the waitress brought us a wrong order, we did ask if it’s the right one but they say this is the right one and after 10mnts they say it was wrong order and I told them to take it back since I wanted what I order. On top of that, they also told us they forgot to key in one the main order, which already stated in the bill and we have asked a few times about our order, after that they said we have to wait for another 35mnts after more than an hour of waiting? That’s really unacceptable I was really disappointed on the waiting time, service and overall experience, it was unpleasant. The waitress apologized and offered a complimentary cake to make it up but still, I left the place in hunger and have wasted my time. Pls improve on...
