The serving is very generous and they taste great! BBQ meat are well-cooked in the kitchen and served hot with the condiments / garnishes, so you don’t get all the smell on your garments.

The side dishes are refillable. What amaze us is that the kimchi jiggae and japchae are refillable as well! It’s amazing that you still get to drink smokey hot soup even towards middle / end of your dining experience unlike other restaurants. Absolutely value for money!!! You are gonna feel as if you got more than what you actually paid for

The seafood pancake is a must-order. Unlike other restaurants, their pancake is pan fried with bread crumbs so it’s extra crunchy with plentiful seafood fillings.

You can choose to dine indoor or outdoor. If you like a camping experience with christmas lights, recommend to sit outdoor (but bear in mind it can be a little bit dark, up to your own preference). It was slightly drizzling but the outdoor seating are properly covered and we didn’t get splashed by the rain at all.

This is an authentic Korean restaurant at another level with extremely well trained staff - polite, efficient and attentive. Highly recommend to visit this place. The owner is a Korean who grew up in Malaysia and he is well verse in Chinese, English and Malay.

Plus point - pet friendly! (Provided your pet is friendly too)

11/10 will definitely...

Discovered this resto via KLfoodie. Decided to give it a try on Friday night. Came upon and the resto has zero customer. Skepticism rose. Decided to give them a chance. I’ve been a fan since then.

Came back again on a Friday, 2 weeks after. Considerable amount of customers. The food here is yummy. Grilled to perfection. The pork belly is da bomb! The sides here are generous. Unlimited supply of kimchi soup, topokki and my favorite, japchae. The japchae is so good. The boss ensure the food is hot. The service here is another level. Came here twice and both times the boss gave us free Korea imported soda and this time, there is a slice of cake.

The price is also very reasonable. A set for two is RM88 with 2 meats and refillable sides.

Atmosphere wise, there is open area with view of Solaris high rise buildings. Windy most of the time, it’s not stuffy and definitely didn’t smell like BBQ after every visit.

Before this, my go to for hot plate BBQ is Hannam. But now, it’s HoGoon.

Definitely a recommended place if you love Korean BBQ...

Ordered ala-carte BBQ (eel & marinated pork neck) and seafood pajeon. Came with three types of banchan, three types of condiments, lettuce, chilli peppers and kimchi soup.

The best parts: Friendly and attentive service. They went out of the way to refill our banchans and water. When one of the owners took our orders, he also made sure we did not over-order. BBQ eel: Not the type of dish one normally orders in a Korean BBQ. Yet, turned out better than expected. BBQ Pork Neck: Not too tough. Not too fatty. Coated with a nicely done sweet sauce. Seafood pajeon: crispy with the right amount of chewiness. Not too stingy with the seafood too. Teppanyaki style cabbage (served with eel): tasty and not too soft. BBQ sauce/condiments: perilla leaf paste was refreshing and paired well, surprisingly. Lastly, the view!!

Room for improvements: Kimchi was a bit over-ripe. Willing to overlook as BBQ was good. Would give them benefit of the doubt. Dimness of outdoor sitting: Needed to zoom in to see how full our...

It was our first time eating here. There were only 2 of us and we came in very hungry. We initially planned to take the set for 2-3 persons (RM 100+). However, one of the owners approached us and recommended that we can just take the set for 2 persons only (RM 88) as it is more than enough for us. I like the honesty and he did not oversell us with the pricey one. True enough the set he recommended was more than enough for us. The moment he gotten our order, the side dishes started coming in. The japchae, kimchi soup and teokbokki came in first. These 3 alone are very nice and tasty enough to make us full. However, by the time the grilled porks came in, we cannot stop eating it as well and especially like the Go Chu Jang Pork Belly. We are living in KLCC and had some business nearby thus, was only able to try it. Should we have another opportunity to come back in this area, will definitely try it again and probably try the other dishes. The view is nice as well. Price is reasonable.
