You can go there for cheap beer but not for good Indian food.
The veg platter had three small pieces of tandoori aloo, 3 TINY pieces of paneer tikka , two veg cutlets and 4 HUGE pieces of mirchi pakora. I assumed everything will come in same quantity, I didn’t confirmed the portions with the server before ordering, My bad. The tandoori aloo and veg cutlet was good, paneer tikka had a strong taste of raw mustard oil, mirchi pakora was OK. For the mains we ordered boneless butter chicken and dal makhani. The gravy of butter chicken was good but had scraps of boneless chicken, the Dal makhani was pathetic. It had a weird taste of raw onions, we had to ask the server to change it as it was not eatable. The changed portion was better than before but it had no taste of dal makhani. The breads ( roti and naan) are cheap as compared to other Indian restaurants in KL but the size is...
Read moreNot sure what happened as we’ve always really enjoyed Drop Exchange’s food (even if it is quite pricy). Today we placed our usual order via Grab, and it was packed really badly - so the butter chicken sauce had all poured out over the other items in the packet. And most items were on their side in the bag. The cheese naans have virtually no cheese in them. The mutton Dan Shak (which is usually absolutely delicious) is sour (I’m really hoping not spoiled!) and oddly sweet, with absolutely no other flavor at all - not even salt - and no hint of the usual blend of rich curry spices. The brown rice it comes with is also completely tasteless. Even the mutton samoosas are not as tasty as they usually are. I’m not sure what has happened, but todays order was really not up to scratch or the usual standard - especially not considering the price we paid for this very...
Read moreHad worst dining experience ever, in fact we didn't even dined because of the rude and arrogant owner. I have been to this place several times and liked the food and recommended most of my friends to visit this place. Thought of going again with friends and family on New Year eve. We made a reservation through Eatigo but the owner was not accepting the booking. On top of that he started cursing Eatigo and its customers, probably because he was drunk and forgot how to attend its customers, whether they are direct or through Eatigo. We decided to leave immediately with a commitment to ourselves to never visit 'Drop Exchange' again. I am surprised to see the attitude of the owner during these difficult times, wondering how he would behave when the...
