Food is excellent!

☝🏻This was what I was told to make a review in exchange for some dessert (I wasn't sure cause the waiter was mumbling yogurt under his breath and wouldn't leave my friend and I alone when we asked to pay)
P.S: I left with no dessert, nothing the moment we paid, just walked off without a care.
I agreed and offered to write an honest review (he was hovering over my phone and looking at what I was typing) when I wrote 3 stars for the service, he was like "no no you must put all full 5 stars, and put my name" that's when I got angry.
If your service and attitude in serving your customers are good enough for 5 stars you wouldn't even need to hover over my phone to ask to press it as such. Unfortunately your service is not up to par and here's what I have to say about it: I ordered 2 unlimited sets (had to order for my friend who was running late) and the waiter said no you can't order 2 and share? Like what?
I had to clarify that I need 2 unlimited sets cause I have a friend coming later (this was before I was seated) so I need 1 set per person and he insisted I only needed 1 since it's just me🙄??? Excuse me what point of table for 2 do you not understand.
Went to get seated at the sofa, the very same waiter came to take my order, I asked for 2 unlimited sets and 2 glasses of warm water. He said "no no no only 1", again I have to repeat that I'm ordering for my friend who is running late and that I'm not eating 2 sets for myself nor am I "sharing" a set with my friend cause it's refillable.
Food is very slow, like 20 to 30 mins slow, we were told banana leaf rice was made on the spot upon ordered so it took time, but the fact that when it arrived its cold and soggy, their so called "cucumber 69/65" was not crispy and hot like they claim to make fresh but is cold and soggy.
Refilling is also very slow, to refill a saucer plate side dish you have to wait 20 mins cause they're "cooking it", but it'll come to you cold and soggy. They got my order wrong and forgot my friends potato's that by the time they asked again, we're full that we don't want to refill anymore.
The constant hovering and staring at our table and repeatedly coming to ask if it's good or if we need anything, this is a good way to see if your customer is shy to ask for anything but DON'T COME BY EVERY 10 MINS, I'm eating and chatting with my friend and you come by and stare for a long time before you go like what for?!
Not everything is bad here, the flavours of the food is truly aromatic and delicious, and I thank the lady in charge coming over to our table once to ask if everything is alright and if we need anything, I appreciate her attentiveness and understanding to not hover around our table to disturb what was suppose to be an enjoyable lunch.
I don't not wish to assume but I was left very uncomfortable and disappointed with the service of the waiter who wished to be name in this review (he made sure I put that in and especially point his badge so I don't misspelled it by accident). I don't know what's to stare at 2 ladies having a lunch break in-between working hours but please don't do it to another female customer again thank you.
Other than that, the spices and flavours are...
Read moreBeen looking for a restaurant that serves South Indian Cuisine whenever you visit Pavilion Bukit Jalil? You need not look further, as the India Gate Restaurant has finally opened!
During my visit, I ordered several dishes, namely the Bamboo Chicken Briyani, Mixed Platter Tandoori Briyani, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Garlic Naan, Chettinad Pepper Chicken, Mango Lassi and Honey Lemon Tea.
Out of these, I highly recommend their Bamboo Briyani Bamboo Briyanis because the rice is so much more aromatic and rich in flavor. I would also recommend the Mix platter tandoori, so that you can try out all the meat they have to offer! If you love soup, the Cream of Mushroom Soup is my highlight; cheese chunks in creamy soup, a surprising yet welcoming ingredient! Even my mother who was initially extremely resistant to the idea of trying out this new cuisine was pleasantly amazed by the dishes she had consumed!
Sakil took our order, and he was extremely friendly and welcoming towards us. He did his best when explaining and attending to the questions about the food I had, and he would voluntarily drop by to inform us that our meal will be taking longer than usual, as the Mixed Platter was a beast to prepare.
One of the most memorable experiences while dining here is definitely the interior design. It is decorated with murals, light decorations, wooden accents and mirrors, very grandiose. The restaurant is well air conditioned and the seats are comfortable! Definitely a good place to enjoy a delicious and filling meal with your family, friends and relatives!
All in all, given the delicious food, friendly staff and comfort, it is a no-brainer that I am already planning to come here again in the foreseeable future to try out the rest of...

India Gate Pavilion Bukit Jalil is a warmly decorated outlet nestled just a few shops down if you’re walking from Food Merchant. Though smaller in scale compared to other branches, it maintains the signature look and ambiance India Gate is known for—elegant and inviting.
Despite being packed during our visit, the service stood out. The staff, including the waiters and attentive floor manager, were well-coordinated and prompt. Orders were taken almost immediately upon seating, and the entire dining experience was well-managed.
We ordered the Fresh Milk Tea Pot (RM 19.90) for four—served hot with thick, creamy milk. It had a comforting aroma and taste, definitely worth trying. For mains, we chose the Mutton Bamboo Briyani (RM 27.90) and Chicken Bamboo Briyani (RM 21.90). Both were served piping hot, rich in spice, and slightly spicy—flavorful and satisfying. The waiter even assisted in plating the biryani, which was a nice touch.
We also tried the Masala Papad (RM 12.90)—crisp and nicely spiced. The boiled egg (RM 2.50) was a simple add-on. Unfortunately, a few items listed on the menu were unavailable during our visit, including some popular snacks.
The floor manager recommended a dessert not listed on the menu: Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream (RM 14.90)—a sweet end to our meal, served warm and well-presented.
We plan to return to try the Fresh Milk Masala Tea and Vadai, which were unavailable at the time.
Prices: Reasonable for a mall location. SST 6% and 10% service charge apply. Overall: Great food, cozy environment, attentive staff—worth a visit, especially for briyani...
