The newly opened restaurant (at time of review Jan 2024) is located near the center of the 2nd floor of Pavilion Bukit Jalil, next to HWC Coffee.

The interior is nicely decorated, with a classic kopitiam vibe. Tables are few and closely spaced. There aren’t any large tables for larger groups of diners.

You can order from the QR code at the table. Service is fast, as their business is good, they quickly clear your table, a standard subtle code to hint for you to make way for the next customer.

I ordered the steamed rice with preserved vegetables pork. The portions are average. The pork is actually a patty style piece with decent thickness. The preserved vegetables are too little that I hardly felt it. The dish is well cooked.

I also added a lobak as a side. The lobak is ok. Skin crispy, enough meat in the lobak to taste.

The cendol is quite good. A sweet sin food, with coconut milk and ‘gula Melaka’ (palm sugar), and of course the green cendol. The dessert is flavourful and fragrant.

A decent place. Prices are similar to those in Pavilion Bukit Jalil. May need to queue to enter...

We ordered a pan mee and a steamed rice with pork patty and salted fish. We also ordered desserts like ABC and Cendol. They served desserts first 🤪 it’s ok since it’s iced, they wont melt so fast. Not sweet but could do with more ingredients like peanuts, jelly etc what u usually find in other places. The bowl is a trifle small and needs to be careful when you scrape the ice lest they tumble down like an avalanche. The main dishes; looks small portion when they arrived 😉 will we be full really crossed our minds. 🤔 the pan mee is nice with tasty soup, quite nicely portion though. The steamed rice is compressed down hence it looks small portion. The patty is thick and juicy and can taste salted fish (many places can hardly even get a taste though they say got salted fish). 👍🏻 the menu is a bit limited and most ppl ordered the nasi lemak. Seats are a bit tight especially along the lane. Super efficient in collecting the dishes even though we are still sitting there (wonder if there is a hidden meaning 🤔) all in a good meal and worth paying...

Originally started with its first outlet at Bukit Serdang. But now they opened at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. It is a fantastic spot that successfully merges nostalgic kopitiam charm with a modern mall setting. The decor, with its zinc-sheet accents and old-school memorabilia, creates a cozy and unique ambiance perfect for a casual meal or a coffee break. The menu is a delightful mix of traditional Malaysian classics and Western dishes with a local twist. A must-try is their Nasi Lemak with Signature Fried Chicken Leg, a crowd favorite featuring fragrant coconut rice and a perfectly fried chicken. The Hainanese Chicken Chop is also a standout, for its home-style brown sauce. For those who love noodles, the Chilli Pan Mee is another excellent choice. The coffee is robust and authentic, making this cafe a genuine tribute to old-school Malaysian flavors. The service is consistently top-notch, adding to the pleasant dining experience. Overall, Iron House Cafe offers a delicious and satisfying taste of tradition in a wonderfully retro-inspired environment.
