Visiting here wasn’t our initial plan the day, but so happen there was parking space just right in front, so me and my husband decided to give it a try. It’s also because the staff was very warm welcoming us. Their menu is standard, and they available with pure Chinese menu too!
The buffet they offered is great with plenty choices of small dish, free seaweed soup (plenty seaweed inside making the soup flavourful) free rice and free tea. It was out of our expectation that their meat are thicker! The taste is also better because there is no pork smell in it. It exceeds our expectation when we tried their potato panchan. The potato tastes so creamy when we bite it! Their kimchi is less soury comparing to others. Can feel the shop puts a lot of effort and choosing their ingredients.
Service is also great coz the shop wasn’t very busy when we visited. They helped us to cook the meat and cut it nicely for us. To our surprise, their marinated meat uses foil to wrap up to cook. Without direct heat, the meat is less likely to be over cooked on the surface and it keeps the juiciness within the meat as well. They changes the cooking plate frequent too!
Shop is modernly decorated with some hand painting on the wall of how to enjoy their menu. Must be drawn by their boss I guess. All their Korean songs are also near to latest ones.
Overall, everything exceeds our expectation and we hope their business...
Read moreWas here on 31 Dec 2022. It was early evening when we drove past this new Korean BBQ restaurant looking for early dinner.
The place was charging RM 48 per pax for BBQ buffet, slightly above the average price but we thought we try it and it turned out great.
There's reasonably good number of side dishes although not all mostly what we would like.
The service was fairly attentive as we were expecting to BBQ the meat ourselves but the servers did it for us which was fantastic.
However we were not told in advance that there's a two hour time limit for eating buffet so we were eating slowly and were told to pay up at the very last minute. Fortunately we already finished eating. We wish we were told at least 10 minutes before the time limit is up so we don't have to rush off to pay up. It feels like we were chased off the premise.
Food is fairly authentic, especially like the soya bean paste. I miss the yellow pickled radish, although they served a different one. Kimchi side dish is just average. No ice cream for dessert or coffee. Don't like the lettuce as they are small so a little difficult to wrap the meat. I would have preferred the meat to be either slightly thicker or a little thinner.
The crowd started coming in as the evening progressed so we were happy to be there early especially since it's the weekend plus New Year's Eve and we had to park some distance away.
Would we...
Read moreThe place is packed at dinner time probably due to its price point. Food taste, ok not bad but cleanliness not great. There was a fly in the japchae, the floors are greasy and slippery.
The layout of the place is a total disaster, haphazard, tables are very close to one another, too many tables for its tight space. You can barely go in and out of your place to the side dish buffet area.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON’T BRING CHILDREN at peak hours!!!
There is barely any space for staff to move around when they remove the hot coal pots for the bbq. Very dangerous!
There was a little boy next to our table, he was seated, and as the staff was removing the coal pot, it grazed his thigh and he burst out into tears screaming. Staff gave him an ice cube to put on the affected area and a can of soda to stop his crying. It may not be serious this time but I foresee many incidents like this happening if they don’t change the layout of the place. Instead of just focusing on making more $, they should consider the safety of...
