The food is decent for the price, but the way it’s served could use improvement.
It seems like dishes are left sitting out for 5-10 minutes before being brought to the table my LSF, for instance, wasn’t piping hot when served. What was more frustrating was the staff denying this and insisting it was freshly served, even though I clearly know the difference. All I wanted was a piping hot LSF, that also the staff need to show attitude and deny. Either she can’t understand what I’m saying or just being defensive. I’ve eaten hundreds of Claypot LSF before, what’s piping hot direct from the stove and what’s left for 5-10 mins - don’t challenge me. That rude foreign female should be fired.
As for the service, the Chinese staff were generally fine, but it is THAT one of the foreign female staff members came across as having an attitude, which made the experience less pleasant. Asked her to serve chili she’s so lazy and insist to serve only upon serving food. Walk few extra steps will die? This gives me the impression that she is lazy to walk that’s why only serve the food for 2-3 tables at one go that’s why our food wasn’t piping hot.
Also, I’d avoid the fried items… the oil used tastes old or possibly reused, giving the food an off-putting &...
Read moreThe vinegar trotter was nice, fragrance and have vinegar taste with stickiness collagen in their sauce. This dish open up my appetite. But for the sambal fish I quite disappointed as it was over fried as dark in colour and dry with some crispness on the side. I asked the waitress that is their sambal fish served in this way- she said yes. Normally I ate at other place sambal fish outside is well fried but inside the meat is still moist and juicy. Eaters who like dry and crispy around the side, you will like it. But not for me. For the vinegar trotter I will come back again. Sambal fish i prefer others not totally dry fish. As I purpose take grab over to this place to eat today. Cos that day I came it was closed. My 1st time but I think if have chances I will come to try...
Read moreNestled in the heart of Solaris Mont Kiara, I had the delightful experience of indulging in the Hakka yellow rice wine chicken, a dish that truly warms the soul. Each bite of the chicken, generous in size and perfectly infused with the aromatic complexity of the rice wine, offered a comforting warmth that permeated right down to the tummy.
The pricing is remarkably reasonable, especially considering the upscale locale of Solaris Mont Kiara. It's an exquisite taste of traditional Hakka cuisine that doesn't weigh heavily on the wallet. This establishment has managed to create an inviting balance between cost and culinary delight, making it a must-visit for those who appreciate authentic regional flavors served with a touch of...
