I came for dinner. We were hungry so we ordered quite a bit. The layout is pretty simple, decoration is minimal but eye soothing enough. Maybe a bit of tacky sliding door for the private room but not that it matters. All the proteins we ordered are super fresh!! So here's what we ordered jasmine steamed rice with these:- 1. Pakora - as an appetizer It is spiced vege and onion fritters, vegetarian. It was super good, crunchy, the vege and onion is very juicy, the sauce is top notch. They gave too little sauce that we have to ask more, twice. Easy 9.5/10 2. Capati (2pcs) (no pic) It comes together with dahl. Capati is very soft with a bit of crunchiness but the dahl is a bit disappointing as it lacks the richness; watery, my partner who came with me said it was not the best but it was alright for him. 6/10 3. Jenahak Curry It tastes like it was made with love. Perfect consistency, not too thick, not too watery. Just nice. Perhaps if there's lady finger, it would unstoppable. 9.5/10 4. Chicken Masala The only thing is that we got more bones than meat. Nevertheless, it was good, chicken was soft and juicy. 7.5/10 5. Fried Sotong This was awesome, perfection. The sotong was perfectly cooked because people easily overcook sotong. But this one is just divine, it combines together with fried onion so it gives more flavour when you take a forkful from the basket of that fried sotong. 10/10 6. Watermelon juice Fresh juice, no sugar and cold even without ice 10/10 Service was super slow though, it took 35-50 mins for all of our food to arrive but we were not in rush so at least for us, it was fine. Will we come back? Maybe in another 2 months!

Indian food for the western palette. Not spicy enough. Pricey for the offering and there are many Indian joints in kl that taste much better for half the price. However considering there are not many Indian rigs in mont Kiara, this is good. Service was mediocre. Ordered murgh malai tikka. Waiter said it will take half hour. We said we are ok with that. He came back after 2 mins and bluffed that it would be too spicy for us. I was surprised and told him this dish is not supposed to be spicy and if it actually is spicy then it's cooked wrong. He goes to the kitchen and comes back saying you should take tandoori chicken. I told him that if the dish is not available then it's ok to tell the customer. Anyway we got the point and ordered tandoori chicken which was good. Spicy chicken curry wasn't spicy at all. In fact it's run down with water. Tasted like chicken in rasam. Lady finger fry was very good. Goes well with beer. But well I don't think the price is worth it even with that ambience, especially when KL is full of Indian restaurants.

My aunt booked this place for our lunch do recently. I've never been to this restaurant before although I had been to Ben's and Kuriya some time ago. So, it was a good experience to try this new joint. For starters, we had the vegetable pakoras. They were crispy and tasty. Could be had on its own or with a chili sauce dip. I had them both ways and loved it. For our main, we had the steamed white rice, fish head curry, stir-fry french beans and eggs and a potato baji/chutney. Needless to say, food was yumms! For dessert, I had the gulab jamun that came with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. My sister had the same, while my aunt and cousin had a plate of freshly cut watermelon. We had chai, too. Service was good; staff was polite and catered to our needs very well. All in all, a good experience. p/s my aunt said their roti canai was good, too. Maybe in my next visit, eh?

My family and I went to Kumar's on the 12th May (3 adults and 1 child). We were around there at 2pm and placed our order around 2.15pm. The restaurant was not busy, they may have had 3 tables. 45 minutes later we still did not receive any food and we realised the table after us were being served with food. When I called for the waitress, she asked whether we wanted our bill and I pointed we have not even received our food. She just said oh and then all the waiters started to avoid our table. We decided to pay for our drinks and walk out when the manager who took our order asked what is the issue and when we told him that we did not receive any food after 45mins he just oh system problem. No apology or what so ever. The manager is total incompetent! If you have system problem how did the table after us got their food? It is obvious he forgot to key in our order. The manager or the staff did not even have the courtesy to come and check on us during the 45 minute wait and we were sitting right in the middle! For their price, their service if very disappointing, we have been to mamak stalls that give better service! NEVER again will we go to Kumar and NEVER will we recommend this place! For their service they do not even...

Found this place as I was Googling for restaurants in the Mt. Kiara area. It is off the beaten path a better it , tucked away on level LG 5 of the massive Arcoris Residences complex next to the mall. The interior is clean and inviting. The menu is chockful of unusual Southern and Western Indian dishes, in addition to the traditional North Indian fare. Apparently breakfast until 10 AM includes favorites such as Dosas. The place portrays itself as a Southern Indian place with a Malaysian twist. Several of the dishes are distinctly Malay. The traditional Thali sets are plentiful and contain a mix of veggies and meats. Overall the dishes could be less oily, but they are tasty. The chicken Veruval curry as an a la carte item is delicious. The Bitter Gourd with Prawns sounds quite intriguing - noted for the next visit. Lassis served in traditional tall stainless steel tumblers are authentic! Starters by way of Bhindi fry and Chicken Samosa are tasty, though the former is a bit oily. Prices are very reasonable; General Manager, Emmanuel, is very friendly and full of good info regarding the dishes on offer...A must try, overall. I...
