Today is the 1st time I brought my parents to Madam Kwan's Pavilion Bukit Jalil 1st floor near centre of the mall. We indeed have no idea of where to have our lunch, so happened that we see Madam Kwan, I decided to try this branch at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. 1stly, as my mum has leg issue that she needs to rest her legs after walking for a distance, outside the restaurant there are chairs for waiting queue, my mum can rest a while there. Then we decided why not just have our lunch at Madam Kwan. First impression, services are good 👍👍. All Managers and staffs working there have rendered us great services. Secondly, food is superb 👏👏. I had Char Kuey Teow which the seafood is big and fresh, the taste is really nice & have the 锅气 😋🤗. If you are a small eater, the 1 plate is actually enough for 2 persons sharing. My dad had nasi lemak, he said the rice is great 😋. My mum had mixed appetiser for sharing, the fried wonton is really yummy especially goes with the white dressing source. We also had the sambal prawn petai, we love this dish 😍 😋. The fried kankung is another good one, the vegetable is fresh, the taste is just nice. All meals portion is big, worth to pay the price. We did not go for any special drink, just simple Chinese tea. Wow ! this is another surprise 😉. The Chinese tea is not like those diluted and no "tea" taste Chinese tea, this restaurant Chinese tea makes you know that you are really drinking "genuine" Chinese tea 🥰. Come to ambience, it's really nice and cosy. Regardless of the sofa seat or the normal chair sitting, both are equally comfortable. Furthermore, I realise that each table has a real Rose flower for decoration, not fake one ya 😁. I personally keen to look at the interior design and decoration for whichever place that I go to, I spotted that this restaurant has a very nice lighting. The air conditioning is just right, not cold & not warm. Furthermore, the restaurant does not have any cooking or oily smell. Overall we are very satisfied with our lunch today at Madam Kwan Pavilion Bukit Jalil, after almost 5-8 years that I have not visited this restaurant for long. I strongly recommend to try this Madam Kwan restaurant at Pavillion Bukit Jalil. For me & my parents, for sure we will be coming back here again 😉💖😋. Thanks to the Manager and staffs there for the great services and all the good food today, good job & keep it up 👍✌️ P.S.: I did not take any pictures for food & drink, because I am not the type of "Camera Eat First" 😁. I am very hungry today that I must eat first, hahaha 😆😆. I just snapped picture for the 1 lighting in the restaurant that I really like 😍😊

I usually enjoy dining at Madam Kwan’s and have given good ratings to other branches. We visited the Bukit Jalil branch, and despite the heavy reservations for buka puasa, they were accommodating enough to serve us. The Cantonese mee was really good and generous, and the chili that came with it was great too. We also ordered the curry chicken, which was super creamy and rich with coconut milk! (I forgot to take a pic of this dish). It made me wonder, would it taste just as good if they used less coconut milk? (Not ideal for those watching their cholesterol!) In a way, it does feel like “cheating” because, anything with a generous amount of coconut milk is bound to taste amazing. But anyway, just a small mumble from me! After a good meal, we wanted to end it on a sweet note with cendol. A few years back, we had it at Madam Kwan’s, and it was creamy, rich, and full of coconut milk. But this time, it was a total letdown. The coconut milk was mild, there was more ice, and we could barely taste anything. Maybe they used up all the coconut milk for our curry chicken? We didn’t bother asking the waiter since they were super busy preparing for the buka puasa crowd. We just gulped it down and paid. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d rate the cendol a 3, especially considering it’s from Madam Kwan’s. And to think I was just telling my friend that nothing could go wrong at Madam Kwan’s… well, that cendol proved me wrong this time. Sadly. I still give it a decent 4 stars as the other meals we had were tasty.

Upon entering, the cozy ambiance immediately sets the tone for a delightful dining experience. The menu boasts a diverse selection of dishes that cater to various palates, ensuring there's something for everyone. During my recent visit, I opted for asam pedas, and I was pleasantly surprised by its presentation and flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. The attention to detail in plating reflected the chef's dedication to culinary artistry. Service at Madam Kwan was exceptional, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. The waitstaff's enthusiasm added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. In terms of ambiance, the decor at Madam Kwan strikes a balance between modern and welcoming, creating an inviting atmosphere suitable for both casual meals and special occasions. Overall, food at this place exceeded my expectations with its delightful cuisine, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by to experience the culinary magic firsthand.

I have always been skeptical by online ratings so I decided to try this place even though current rating is 2.3/5. We booked personally at 3pm at the cashier for buka puasa and were asked to order and pay. However, we were missing a few people, so couldnt order. The cashier then promised to send a QR code later to order and pay and were assured the booking is intact. Were waiting then for the QR code which never arrived. So, went back at 7pm only to find the booking was not in the system. Very dissapointed. Luckily, there were open tables and we were seated there. I guess it is true and fitting of the 2.3 rating. Drastic improvement needs to be made especially on workers training and attitude. No apologies whatsoever from them. I spoke to some other regular patrons and they attest to the workers problem not just at this location but at other locations too. Management have to accept this as opportunities to improve and not let this slide under the carpet. Unless Madam Kwan's business plan is to close down in a few years time. BTW, food portion is now smaller and the price increased. Luckily the food taste was maintained.

First impression this place is not for regular working folk. The Nasi Lemak is RM30?!?!?!?! But…why…..ok I know why. Obviously rent is expensive in Pavilion and the fact that they have nice furniture and remodeling. But what does that have to do with how the food should taste?! Honestly the Nasi Lemak from the auntie on the street tastes better. Maybe because it tastes like love and home and this taste like corporate rice. Anyways other than that they have a variety of options as you can see from all the nice pictures of the menu I took. They even have a kid menu and orange juice for RM12 🤡 If you want to eat fancy lokal food with your family and get dressed up then sure check out this spot or if you are working in a bank then yes go ahead and spend your money and support Malaysian business. Hope this review was helpful! Shoot me a message if you have any questions! @ninjaxfang
