After work, we went to Trec KL to celebrate one of our colleague's birthday, hopping from one bar to another. We were all having a great time until we went to Mango's. The waitress kept asking us what is it that we want to order, and she is very persistent that we order something even before we have a chance to look at the menu. One of my colleague paid with his credit card and we proceed with darts, drink and chit chat. It has been a long duration and the credit card never came back. It wasn't even pack! Just a few tables. So we question the waitress that seems not bothered, walking around serving other customers. It has been more than 30 minutes, we stopped her, and she says that they are still looking for the card, we insist to see the manager but she quickly walk away. After approximately 45 minutes, we stopped her, and she told us "The card is gone, probably some other customer took it". We demand to see the manager and meanwhile my colleague called up the bank credit card center to cancel the card. The manager refuse to see us, and when she came over, she just talk to the staff "they finished the drink? they have to pay" and walk away. Mango staff, took a bill over and request us to pay in full with cash, since the credit card is lost. When we argued, it is not that we do not want to pay, the issue now is, Mango has lost my colleague's credit card. The staff starts to explain that she took the bill to the counter, the counter swipe it... I told her, I do not need to know how you do your work, I am not interested to know your internal problems. So customers have to bear the cost for Mango's incompetency? Once again we demand to speak to talk to the manager. The manager told the staff, no, we have to pay cash for it. Who is going to pay up for my colleague's credit card replacement? The manager casually says "Just call up the bank and they will send it to your home address" and she walks away again! Someone needs to bear the cost, and definitely Mango is at fault for losing the credit card. The waitress came back with the same receipt asking us again for cash. We want to talk to the manager, we do not want to waste anymore time with someone who cannot make decisions. The manager came and says, no, we have to make full payment. Don't say it as if the mishandling of credit card is irrelevant. When yelled at her staff, threatening if she couldn't get full payment from us, the waitress will have to pay from her own pocket. The waitess have to plead us to pay. We asked the manager to solve the issue and she tried to walk away. When my colleague ask her to stay until we have a resolution, she kept trying to avoid the issue. When my colleague repeat "Please don't keep walking away". The manager yelled at us "What do you want!?". Obviously we want her to resolve the issue at hand! Then the waitress went off, came back with the credit card "Oh, we found it. Your credit card is not working, you have to pay in cash" Is Mango treating us like a complete idiot? Mango thinks this issue is funny? Where you can just pop out with a smile saying FOUND IT! and everything will magically disappear?
We paid the bill in cash, but no way we will pay for the credit card replacement penalty. My colleague told the manager, that we want Mango to note that this is an area that they have to improve and she just told us off "Isn't the issue resolved?" and walk away.
Our time has been wasted, our plans ruined, our mood crushed, and we cancelled our following plans and went home. Thank you Mango...

I always use to go to this place and was a long time customer which i think the management doesnt appreciate as per my recent experience after they revised their policy. Previously there was no cover charge to enter the premises but now they have since their business started to shine. I purchased a bottle JW BL for RM443 had few drinks with my friend the remianing which was like 75% we asked them to park. Upon my next visit the very next day first the arrogant and rude security wouldnt let me in without the cover charge until i showed him the card for my parked bottle. That too he let me in with a very Rude arrogant face as if i asked him for free drinks. So I manage to get through and was waiting for my friend to join me but when he arrived as usual the security stopped him and asked him to pay cover charge even though we had a bottle which was just purchased a day before. My friend paid the cover charge. I then asked the chinese lady from Mango’s management that is that how we will be treated now that you wouldnt even allow anyone to come and join me if i have a bottle the lady arrognatly replied its their policy now that if you park your bottle they will allow only 1 person to enter and any others will have to pay the cover charge. My advice to those who usually go for 2 or 3 bottle promo as its cheap and the remaining bottles they park, dont do it anymore! cuz it will now cost you more since they will aks you for the cover charge when you want to enter the bar again next time.
There are alot of other places at trec to go beside this. The security and the management sucks due to their arrogance and rudeness. They dont know what customer service is. All they now care about is the money. Bring your friends to some place else to have a good time but...
Read moreI had a very bad experience in Mango Tropical Cafe, in my very first visit there. I had placed my mobile phone on the table and it was stolen when I was not aware. I lodged a complain in the lost and found in their office, and was informed to come the next day to view the CCTV. The next day, my friend and I came to their premise, and spent hours waiting, because we kept being misinformed on the timing of the arrival of the head of security. Almost everyone was uncooperative and tried to prevent us from viewing the CCTV. According to the staff, many things go missing there, many mobile phones gets stolen and there was no point for me to view the CCTV. I still insisted to view the CCTV, as I felt it was unfair and they were uncooperative. But all my efforts went unaided. Eventually I was not able to view the CCTV, and therefore lodge a police report against the premise. It is sad & disappointing that the premise do not look out for their customers. I had my mobile phone for years, but in one visit, my first, it was stolen and worse, the management rendered no help or consolation in trying to help me with the situation. This will be my last...
