Michelangelo's Pasta Fresca — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Entered the restaurant in a great mood. Ordered the Soft shell crab pasta set lunch. Drinks arrived quick and soup came in reasonable time. Soup was good. Servers were polite and pleasant. But then the wait began. Server said there was some hold up in the kitchen. So i continued waiting. At almost 55 minutes from entry, the food finally came. The pasta was hard, sauce was subpar and the soft shell crab salty. I'm not a picky person but I found it hard to consume the food. I observed the pasta cross section and noticed the core was still white. The server asked if everything was alright and I explained the hard pasta and so he insisted on bringing it back to the kitchen. I told him that I don't want to wait for another hour. He insisted on returning the food. I waited for less than 5 minutes and he returned with possibly another plate. I already had no mood and was already fuming so i requested for a takeaway instead and went straight for the cashier. The server offered a complimentary dessert which I declined. Told him it doesn't help. Paid for the food and left very disappointed. On a positive note, I tried the pasta that I took away and it was al dente.

We celebrated my sister’s birthday at Michelangelo's Pasta Fresca ,and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely delicious—full of rich, flavorful taste. Even my mom, who usually isn’t a fan of Italian cuisine, really enjoyed it.

I had mentioned during the reservation that it was for a birthday, and the restaurant went the extra mile to make it special. When we ordered the cake, they wrote “Happy Birthday” on it and even sang while serving it, which added a lovely touch to the celebration.

The service was exceptional! Ms. Claire and the entire team were so attentive and accommodating. She even helped us take pictures, and all the staff members were polite, friendly, and well-mannered.

I was planning a 10 persons surprise dinner for a good friend. I really appreciate that the restaurant contacted me several times to make sure the private area is arranged and beautifully decorated. We ordered the following to share. For appetizers: Carpaccio Di Manzo, Bruschetta Al Funghi. Salad: Mandarin orange Salad, Insalata Di Brezzolata (both very nice and refreshing) Pasta: Tortellini Al Quattro Formaggi, Facottini Beef Ragu, Squid Ink Pasta, Pappaardelle Ragu (my guests n I love the first 3 pasta dishes). Pizza: Pepperoni, cured meat (love the crust) Dessert: Delizia Al Limone (Must try! So good!), Tiramisu, Panna Cotta.
