Awful service by the maître d' for a so-called fine dining restaurant. I arrived a little later than my friends and wanted to order a drink when I realized the menu provided was only for food. When I asked for the beverage menu, the maître d' nonchalantly replied "we only serve wine, coffee or tea here" and walked away. Unless you have it written on a menu chalkboard somewhere, please DO NOT assume that your customers know what types of coffee/tea/wine are served. I ordered Croque Madame which appeared to be burnt and was rather unpleasant to eat as charred bread taste bitter which spoils the whole dish. Informed the waiter, who then left to talk to the maître d' who was not really doing anything at the cashier counter yet took his time to come over until I slightly raised my voice. With no apology given, he took the dish to the kitchen and came back 5mins later to inform me that this is in fact how croque madame is made (with burnt bread) so that the cheese would melt. Please don't treat your customer for a fool, I sure as hell know what a great croque madame is supposed to taste like and that was NOT it. The solution given to me was laughable for a restaurant at this price point - they basically scraped off the burnt bits, shaved some cheese on top and sent the plate back to me. It was still disgusting and tasteless. I barely ate the dish. My friend ordered beef lasagna which looked like flatbread - where were the layers? An overall disappointing experience for me. Please train your maître d' to provide better service...

A cozy little space that is quite intimate with an open kitchen as you come through the entrance. There’s a private room that sits 10 people quite comfortably. They have been in operation since October 2022 and are part of the Tinkerman Group of Restaurants (Vintry, Stoked, etc). They offer a 4 or 5 course meal
The good: They served fantastic miso sourdough, noisette butter & sourdough brioche, whipped crème cheese. The asparagus starter with confit yolk was very done. The 7-days aged duck is highly recommended but be aware that 2 people need to order it and must be pre-ordered. For the dessert, I’d recommend the tarte au chocolat. Overall, the food quality was pretty good.
The “could be improved”: Given the fine dining prices, you’d expect the total experience to be top notch. However, this wasn’t the case. They gave us expandable towers (in a little bowl) at the start of our meal and didn’t collect it till we had to ask them to take it away when our main course came. We also had to remind them to take away our side plates (for bread) much later. The tables and chairs felt like they belonged more in a casual dining place than a fine dining restaurant. They did, however, have nice plates and cutleries. Other than the manager, Jun Wei, it was difficult to understand what the waiters were saying when explaining our...
Read moreWe went to Quin as a party of 6 and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience. The dining atmosphere exuded sophistication with a touch of relaxed charm. The service was immaculate and attentive. We had a delightful conversation with Ernest as he regaled us with tales of his F&B journey.
The menu is well rounded with a mix of seafood and meat. We tried quite a few items on the menu, including the maïs, burrata, mac & cheese with foie gras, coq au vin, sea bream and mussels.
Dish after dish served was a pleasure - all were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Flavours were complementary and not overpowering. Special mention goes to the mashed potato - those who have tried Joël Robuchon’s famous silky-smooth mash, you know what I’m talking about. Best replicate I’ve encountered.
Desserts were absolutely delicious. Affogato and lemon(?) cake are must orders. The panna cotta exhibited slightly more firmness due to a tad too much gelatin, though its flavours remained intact and enjoyable.
Overall, it was a very satisfying experience and definitely worth a visit. We...
