Restoran Thaqwa Classic — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

First time trying out this restaurant even though very near to me because so used to the other older mamak restaurants. Saw some nice pics on reviews and decided to order puri but unavailable. So disappointed. Ordered my second choice which was 'thosai tisu' but turned out to be a 'roti tisu' instead. There is a difference in the dough and texture and can be seen straight away and yet the waiter confirmed that it was 'thosai tisu'. Ended up i didnt get to eat what I have been craving for. It was a very lovely 'roti tisu' though...very crispy but a little too much sugar and condensed milk. I enjoyed it and the normal roti canai as well. As for the beverage, the frothy teh tarik was not kaw enough for me. Surprisingly, the dishes at the serving counter were almost finished and it was only about 7.30pm. Guess those regulars prefer to order other stuff than rice here. I peeped at other tables...fried maggi mee looked very inviting. Too bad I was full or rather thank...

Pukul 12 lebih pagi, saya suruh suami saya order fresh orange di Restoran Thaqwa Classic Permaisuri. Mula2 saya request kaw. Tapi mereka kata nak double ke? Then suami kata tak perlu double. Biasa saja. Then sampai kepada saya, air color cantiklah. Tapi bila minum rasa air gula sahaja. Tiada rasa oren. Jadi saya rasa dengan RM6.10 saya bayar untuk segelas, saya perlu dapat air buah yang betul2 rasa buah bukan rasa air gula. So saya pergi semua ke restoran, bercakap baik dengan pembuat air dan dia setuju untuk buat semula air tersebut. Walaupun dia kata itu memang gula standard. Tapi saya pernah minum fresh orange di Thaqwa Permaisuri memang sedap and rasa buah oren tu. Balance masam dan manis. Tapi kali ni tiada masam, hanya rasa air gula. Maybe buah oren disana manis-manis belaka. Tapi datang seorang staff ni jaga cashier. Dia macam tak puas hati sebab saya minta buat baru air tersebut. Dia ada bercakap belakang dan saya dengar. Tapi bila saya panggil and tanya dia cakap apa? Dia berpaling muka dan tengok tv. Muka dia teramat tidak puas hati dengan saya. Saya nak bayar semula air sebab kan cashier tersebut, tapi pembuat air dan lagi sorang staff kata tidak perlu sebab mereka admit customer punya complaint. Air buah mahal. Jadi saya nak air buah yang betul2 rasa buah. Bukan rasa air gula. Salahkah saya berbuat demikian?? Tolong tengok cctv tentang muka staff cashier tersebut. Rude lah pada saya. Dia boleh cakap elok2 dan tukar saja air tersebut. 100x saya datang makan di restoran anda, takkan sekali saya complaint dia tidak puas hati? Just saya jujur dan mahukan hak saya sahaja. My favourite for breakfast is their roti canai telur, which is light & fluffy and crispy roti bom kosong without sugar. The other favourite is thosai or dosa, many customers came here as this place serves tasty roti canai and dosa at long hours daily.

All other restaurant here only serves roti canai before 11am and after 3.30pm.

Their chicken and mutton curries were thick and tasty. But fish curry was a little below my expectation.

Serving crew is nice in their red shirt , fast serving the customers...
